  1. Make the app actually work

    Since the last update the app is worse than before. Extremely unresponsive. Messages being sent but not shown at all. Receiving 3 notifications for the same tap and no notifications for messages, or notifications after 3 minutes the message was sent. Taps appearing after 10 minutes. The current update on iphone has made it even less responsive than before with huge delays even when sending a simple message.

  3. We need to be able to report users, even if they block us.

    There are so many people who are abusive, catfishing, stealing nudes, and doing other nefarious things and getting away with it because they just block everyone once they get what they want, or once they suspect someone’s onto them. We need to be able to report them even after they block us, so we have a better chance of stopping them! Otherwise, the app is literally permitting illegal conduct to continue and refusing to offer any moderation or protection for its users, which is criminally negligent.

  4. Give warnings of any violation

    After being a long-standing user of Grindr, making use of all it has to offer in a respectful and honest way, two days ago my account got randomly banned. No warning. My profile had not changed and in my mind did not overtly break the guidelines. I would like warnings on such drastic action please...as this would help users to rectify any unintentional violation of Grindr‘a rules or guidelines.     After closing the app, the profile remains online for 10 minutes. It is misleading. People think that you are rude for not answering, when in reality you are not online.

  10. Pause subscription

    For those of us XTRA/Unlimited subscribers who need to take a break from Grindr due to work-related, health-related, or relationship-related reasons, it would be helpful if we could freeze our subscription so we don’t lose the remaining time we’ve paid for. Since we can’t request refunds, at least don’t penalize us when conflicts arise in our personal life that demand us to step away from the app for a bit. You can still keep our money, just give us the option to freeze. This would be especially helpful for those of us on year-long subscriptions.

  11. Reviews/Rating/Flake

    To help weed out the spam users, fakes, and flakes, grindr should have some sort or rating system for 2 things.
    1- if the person flaked or showed up
    2- Did they send pics that actually look like them

    there should be one button that either party hits confirming they are meeting (this would also help track down the hate crime on here). Do the ratings by stars or a 1-10 scale.

    Not transphobic but there has to be a fine line between gays looking for gays and guys looking for fem/trans. It seems more than half of the profiles I look at are looking for trans only, and this is very annoying being gay... A new app, or strong filters are necessary. Please don't make me stop using my favorite app due to such a silly reason

    Please allow us to use mock location on grindr ASAP. Recently i got to know that my partner is cheating on me and i really wanted to catch him red handed while using grindr, but being not able to use mock location he could trace that my profile is visible to my area using explore.. so he wouldn't reply to me.. by using mock location i could trace and catch him red handed.

    As i stay in a rural area and isolated place and whenever i make a plan to visit another city i could use mock location to explore…

  15. Blocked Chat Retention

    Recently was assaulted by someone met of Grindr. After the incident I was blocked by the assailant and I no longer had the chats as evidence. If someone blocks you it shouldn't delete the chat stream. Delete media and pics maybe, but leave the chats.

  16. Make Grindr a better space for professional networking

    Allow users to select their industry of employment from a list, and/or give users a field to write their occupation. Put professionals in some of your marketing campaigns. Highlight gay-friendly workplaces. Let's promote gainful employment in the gay community!

  17. Bring back favorites tab

    Bring back the old Favorites tab!

    Switching Favorites to a filter means that every time I want to look at my favorites, I have to add the Favorite filter to my search screen. If I have other filters on, I have to reset them in order to see profiles I’ve favorited that meet those filters, forcing me to reset all my filters just to look at my favorites. This is so annoying!
