For several years now, it’s clear that HIV no longer has much impact on people’s opinions, especially within the gay community. I can honestly say that when I tell people I’m undetectable, most of them don’t really care anymore.
However, there is still a huge issue around herpes. Whether it’s type 1 or type 2, it’s very common—among both straight and gay people. Yet the fear and stigma around herpes are still extremely strong.

This app is supposed to be free. Do not create a free application if you're just going to annoy the fuck out of us with ads. Im literally uninstalling. It's already bad enough you people have allowed a DATING APP to turn into an STD filled slut hole.

“Quickies” a New Way to Connect
Simple. Allow users to post short photos and videos to their profile that expire after 24 hours, and allow other users to scroll through other users’ Quickies and directly message their profile from the Quickies section.

Are there any plans to address these concerns in future updates?
How does Grindr currently balance user safety, privacy, and fair enforcement when using automated or AI-assisted moderation systems to flag accounts, messages, or behavior?
In particular, how are false positives handled when users are restricted, shadow-banned, or permanently banned without clear explanations? Many users report losing access despite following the rules, and the lack of transparency makes it difficult to understand what went wrong or how to avoid future violations.
Is there (or will there be) a clearer appeal process that includes human review, specific feedback on which rule was triggered, and realistic response timelines? Additionally, how does Grindr ensure…

Remove Album Access to Specific Users
It would be great to be able to remove individual access to shared albums without having to scroll through an exhaustive list of users with current access. This could be an option on the shared album within the messages with the individual or even a search option within the Shared Access list.

More digital well-being features
There should be more digital well-being features implemented, that we can optionally turn off, like a timer that reminds us when we've been on the app after a certain amount of time (and maybe even an optional one that blocks us from continuing after the timer) for those of us that want to work on being more mindful of both our screen time and time in specific apps, such as this one

I’d like to be able to set a default for how long albums are visible rather than indefinitely. Otherwise I have to select a timescale every time I share an album, which is very tedious.

Parameter to mask/block automatically fake girls and trans
I have 0 interest in trans, girls, fake girls, etc. Please add a parameter so I can block those and revert to a true male-male hookup apps or please create a spin off for other interests than male-male. It’s becoming nightmarish in here; regular gays are being discriminated and most trans look like very cheap and gross prostitutes. By the way, am I soon to get Tampax adds here? I’m getting so many ads for woman stuff (most of the time now)!!!

I think you should add the ability to leave compliments on other people’s profiles, not negative ones. But things like “friendly”, “genuine”
Compliments, such as “good listener”, “friendly”, “unique”, etc… nothing negative but just to let other people know you’re not a serial killer haha
