Blocked Chat Retention
Recently was assaulted by someone met of Grindr. After the incident I was blocked by the assailant and I no longer had the chats as evidence. If someone blocks you it shouldn't delete the chat stream. Delete media and pics maybe, but leave the chats.
Everything should be retained when someone blocks. I was blackmailed by a Grindr user but they blocked me so I had no recourse.

PARTICULARLY BECAUSE GRINDR'S INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO REPORT BLOCKED PROFILES/CHATS AREVL INCORRECT AND THEREFORE DON'T WORK PRESENTLY, blocked chats should NOT just disappear no matter which user blocks the other, particularly because a user has the ability to delete unwanted chats. Perhaps photos sent loose in a chat should become ❎️'s visible only to Grindr Support. But, there MUST be a more streamlined and accurate way to report users who are abusing Grindr and its users and/or to report illegal activity, which is impossible currently once blocked.
Very good question Grindr team! Second time this question asked, Grindr team!
…and waiting for thier response

How do I request a copy of chats once being blocked for knowing they sexually assaulting me
We have a right to a copy of that data up until the time there is a block. Seems pretty clear cut.
The user that initiates the block can unblock any time to view the profile and there's nothing the other user can do about it.
This literally enables and supports stalkers.
