Drug monitoring
The app is full of drug addicts, sellers and people that put at risk others with their substances.
I see so many people here in Mexico selling cristal or slam and a lot of users of it, using emojis to hide their substance usage.
I believes both a feature that monitors this emojis they use to talk about said substances is much needed, even it making a report to the police.
For other substances such as Alcohol, tabaco, marihuana and poppers there should be a block for people that do not want to match with others that do.773 votes -
We need to be able to report users, even if they block us.
There are so many people who are abusive, catfishing, stealing nudes, and doing other nefarious things and getting away with it because they just block everyone once they get what they want, or once they suspect someone’s onto them. We need to be able to report them even after they block us, so we have a better chance of stopping them! Otherwise, the app is literally permitting illegal conduct to continue and refusing to offer any moderation or protection for its users, which is criminally negligent.

Block viewed me
Grindr needs to restore the block button on the "viewed me" page. This is a safety issue. There are people/profiles who can/will constantly look at your profile without ever making contact. Without the block button, we will have to go looking for them and if they have no info on their profile how are we supposed to find them? Yes it can be an inconvenience, and yes some might prefer it isn't there, but this will become a serious nuisance.
In the past i have had experience of completely blank (i.e. no pics/info) profiles that have repeatedly looked at my…

Please let us block people on our viewed list
If someone sketchy keeps viewing my profile I should be able to block them. Hell, I should be able to block them even if they’re not sketchy. Let people control their grids.

Verification Badges
Please add the option to allow users to go through a Verification process and add a “Verified” badge to their profile to confirm we are communication with a real person and not someone that is attempting to catfish. Competitors like Tinder have had this feature for years, Grindr really needs this!

Photo Verification
Loads of scambots and postitutes use this app.
They use screengrabs that are not them.
A 2 key, photo verification system would reduce this problem to nothing.35 votes -
Verifying every user when they first sign up- too many profiles with NO pictures!
For verification purposes. Like tinder and MOST other dating/hookup apps have some sort of photo verification system to prove that it’s actually who you say you are. I am SO SICK OF ALL THESE USERS ON GRINDR WITH NO PHOTOS! in my opinion, I think it should be a requirement that if you want to be on Grindr then you need to have a clear, visible unaltered face picture of what you look like, so other members can see who all is in the room AND it’s especially annoying when those exact people with no pictures on their profile go…

Make this a safe space for male identifying bi and gay men. This is no longer a safe space with the curious straight men looking for women
Make this a safe space for male identifying bi and gay men. This is no longer a safe space with the curious straight men looking for women. In an effort to be “inclusive” you have ostracized the very people this was created for. When I get old enough, I’m totally going to change my name to powers. Please give gay and bi men (male or male identifying) the safe space it once was. I am now surrounded by “straight” men that are looking to experiment with women. Cool the straight men and women have been allowed to take something that was…

Make Screenshots of pictures not allowed
On other gay dating apps it is impossible to take screenshots of pictures (Scruff for example). While it’s already impossible to do in the albums feature why not make it impossible across the app. If anything it will protect the privacy of users. I’ve been the victim of a few guys catfishing using pictures they’ve stolen from other real guys on Grindr. Why not make it harder for bots and scammers and give the gay community an extra feeling of safety.

Location and privacy
Last update with the prohibition of mocking locations doesn't seem to be very helpful, here is my proposition. The app should use exact locations but shouldn't be seen in a precise way in the profiles, this can be made quite easy just hiding this info setting a user in a broad area you can see a example of this in the location of the sellers in other app called wallapop. if someone wants to share his precise location it can be perfectly be done in the private message Window. I think with this most people Will be happy and safer and…

Disable distance displayed if user hides his distance
If users choose to hide their distance then they should nt be allowed to view the distance of others. What goes around comes around. It should be fair for what ever reason a user wants to hide his distance even though Grindr isn't acurate he should loose the option to view others distance.
Trust works both ways.
Allowing users to hide their distance but view others means they can see without showing their. This is Not equal.25 votes -

Safety and privacy of gay men.
This isn’t to bash anyone or discriminate against any gender or gender identity, but this used to be an app where gays could come to meet, hookup, chat, etc. But now with trans and CD’s making profiles on a site that wasn’t created for them, they’re taking away from the grid space that gays would otherwise have to interact. I also don’t believe that straight guys should be allowed to make profiles on grindr because I honestly believe that half of those profiles are fake and used to extract personal information from the gays that attempt to interact with them.…

Multiple accounts created by same person
I’m being harassed by the same people using different profiles. This has been on going for about two years. Now it’s becoming completely annoying, I can’t trust anyone, and feel as if they may be personally stalking me whether out or my home residence. This has gotten completely out of hand.

Discreet App Notification Sounds.
Have discreet app notification sounds for when you want notifications on. Similar to the discreet app icons. The Grindr notification sound has become a staple sound so it would be good to have options.

Mass/Multiple Profile Blocking
Right now blocking is a one by one multiple step process. It’s really annoying when the same people delete and recreate accounts and keep messaging you and you have to go to each profile and individually block them. If you can at least bring the Mass/Multiple Profile Blocking ability to the Xtra/Unlimited users it would be really great!

Flag "bbc"
Grindr has a responsibility to make their platform safe for all users. The app can block words from profiles like "massage" and "ass" but refuses to address the use of "BBC".
Kink shaming this is not. This is a fetish intrinsically connected to slavery, rooted in myths and stereotypes about Black people.
Why does grindr want to help continue perpetuating violence against Black people? Grindr users get on the internet every day to reduce Black people to genitals and expectations of sexual aggression. Many think it's flattering but it's the exact opposite. It's racist. It's painful.Grindr will do the…

Blocking
Right now, blocking is a four step process at its very least. Most people block more people than they speak to. And it’s a pain to go to each and every profile to do what needs being done. Many times, you may get viewed by a profile that’s not on your radar, and you may want to block it for privacy concerns. My idea is one step, multiple blocking. The same way one would select multiple pictures to delete in one go.
