1. Bring back the block function.

   Hiding the profiles does not work and often the profile pops back up. I don’t see why hiding is better than blocking when both are reversible.

   Subject: Report of intrusive App Store redirections by Grindr

   I would like to report what I believe is an abusive behavior by the Grindr app on iPhone.

   The app repeatedly opens the App Store without a clear or intentional request from me in order to promote other applications. This interrupts normal use of the app and, on some occasions, has led to accidental app downloads because the redirection is overly aggressive.

   I believe this behavior creates a poor user experience and may mislead users into downloading apps they did not intend to install. I kindly ask Apple to review whether this behavior complies with the App Store Review Guidelines and, if necessary, take appropriate action to protect users from these intrusive practices.

6. Tone down the ads

   The ads are outrageous. I dislike mid typing for an Ad to pop up when trying to message someone back. The app has gotten worse over the last few years. Tone down the ads at least not pop up during your mid typing message.

   My account was permanently banned for allegedly offering or requesting paid sexual services, despite never engaging in such behaviour. The ban notice indicated that automated measures were used, and after waiting nearly two months for an appeal review, I received only a generic response stating that the decision was final, without any explanation, evidence, or indication that a meaningful human review had taken place. As a long-term user who has always used Grindr for its intended purpose, I find this process unfair and lacking transparency. This issue could be resolved by conducting a genuine manual review of my account activity, providing a clear explanation of the alleged violation, and reconsidering the ban if no evidence of wrongdoing exists.

    Even the XTRA day pass is gone, you think people are going to pay these monthly/annual prices forever? They just keep going up and up, while your advertisements double so you're making even more money through ADs alone. Now if you want Unlimited you have to pay $40 a month PLUS TAX? I've been using this app for 10 years and it was such an easier experience and better layout before, and now it's just full up pop-up ads, or better yet you have to watch a 2 min ad just to view your most recent view on your profile. LOOK AT OUR ECONOMY, THE LAST THING THAT'S FREE IS SEX AND YOU'RE GONNA MAKE US PAY FOR THE BETTER EXPERIENCE, TO GET "better" connections? Absolutely ridiculous. 15. Make the app actually work

    Since the last update the app is worse than before. Extremely unresponsive. Messages being sent but not shown at all. Receiving 3 notifications for the same tap and no notifications for messages, or notifications after 3 minutes the message was sent. Taps appearing after 10 minutes. The current update on iphone has made it even less responsive than before with huge delays even when sending a simple message.

    I have had my name in Grindr set to "checkAIsettings" for several months now. I still get roughly 10 people reaching out to me every day thanking me that I let them know about the existence of those settings. I found out because there was a one-time notice that nearly everyone missed. Don't blame the users for not paying attention. If this many people are reaching out to me, either you don't realize your approach was ineffective, or your approach was intentionally malicious. Please introduce more apparent and integrated ways of notifying users about the existence of the AI settings.
