Boost is BULLSHIT
The new Boost feature is utter bullshit. People pay a few to appear at the top of other people's grids? Okay... so they're paying to take up space on the grid that could be occupied by other people who are closer? That's utter shit.
If you don't pay for xtra or unlimited, you only have a certain number of available people on the grid anyway so having them taken up by people who are 3 miles away is shit. But then if you ARE paying for Grindr, it's also out of order that just because somebody paid a tiny fee to appear at the top of your grindr grid, then your experience is now marred by these people who are MILES away. Grindr, fix this. It's annoying AF.

I feel it would be a lot better if it lasted longer. Maybe double the length of time it works and I would feel like I get my money's worth.

i’m just perplexed about this boosted people that proved the theory of those seeking nothing else but attention, there is a number a people that get off the attention of taps or messages by everyone that messages them because they appear next to you. they even hide location so you can’t tell they are boosting so you can hit them up, only to not answer or be too far for you since they obviously don’t host. so again, give these egotistic selfish guys a way to increase that attention and they’re in. worst part of all this that regardless how annoyed we are by these boosters, given a way to increase profits by a company and a way to self loathe to already attention-seeking ones that will pay for that only and the given feature will never go away. once the margins for the profits settle and they won’t have to be so pushy about it. it’s horrible for the ones we are paying for no ads but little did we know, it does not mean no grindr ads.

The Grindr promotions for Boost are way too aggressive. Between the repetitive promotional messages in the inbox and the random pop-ups, they are annoying and should be minimized, especially on an Unlimited subscription which is supposed to be ad-free.

Especially annoying is if you pay for Grindr to remove ads and then get hounded by Grindr advertising their own paid features.

Especially annoying is that the question if want it is asked several times a day, no matter if you cancel or tap “maybe later”

Interesting that so many dislike Boost enough to write in about it. But how many of you have tried it? And I'm not advocating for it. The actual boost experience is a nightmare as well. You cannot turn it off and you can get floods of taps and messages, like a Tsunami that is impossible to respond promptly to half of them. And I am a 50 some thing average Joe, not near model looks. It felt like it was going to make my phone explode. Grindr, please get rid of it. I won't answer a boosted profile anymore because I think it's desperate! But I tried it out just to see what it was about.

Like the creators care what we say anyway, this company has 0 safety policies or even a proper reoorting system so truly in my opinion. This is pointless, too expensive anyway

They placed this so it’s nearly impossible to get out of the screen without accidentally clicking on it. Utter Bull

Agree. I am so pissed at how often it pops up. It is a waste of money anyway. STOP WITH THE BS and let me enjoy what I paid for.

If I block the boost ad all 20 times it comes up doesn’t that mean I don’t want it? STOP showing it. Why isn’t there a way to keep it from ever appearing? I never want to see that fucking ad again

You have FAR TOO MANY popup ads. Some of them you can't get out of unless you choose to pay and then cancel payment. That is a bunch of BS!! I am paying for a monthly plan at the level I want to be. Don't continually hit me up for "boost" or a more expensive level. MOST IMPORTANTLY, DON'T BLOCK ME FROM GETTING OUT OF THE AD.

I've all but stopped using grindr due to all the bullshit ads with and without subscription and boost spams. I find the $7.99 a month for sniffies is actually cheaper and they have a lot less bullshit. sure you have to use browser to access it bc there's no app but that's nothing a home screen link can't fix

Everyone I log in the boost message comes up. STOP! I if you pay for the service stop asking every time if someone wants to boost. You can ask one time then put it in settings if someone wants it. It’s annoying

ALSO BLOCKS SHOULD NOT BE OVERRIDDEN BY BOOSTS

I’m a new user and this was a shock to me. I think it is a waste. I don’t know if I want to continue with limited viewing or vista. Seems like a if I’m going to watch all of the advertisements and promotional content then the content should be better to access.
