The cost of Grindr
I think you should do a reduction in your prices as they are absolutely outrageous!! I've always been happy with the basic one as I dont need to know if someones read my message or not, But, if your prices were lower more people would consider it. Why not try and and be the same prices as fellow apps, or just slightly at a higher rate.

Make the app less expensive
Absolutely unaffordable in my country. It's the price of a mini fridge. Was a good app before, but not worth paying if you can only see 6 or less people from your area. Please fix this, rather increase the restrictions on the filters as you had in the past and have more people instead...because at this point, it isn't a social dating platform.

Lower the price of Unlimited
40 bucks a month, double that of Xtra for only a few more features is a straight up money grab.
You should lower Xtra to $10 a month and Unlimited to 20. You’d have way more subscriptions.

Distance Reciprocity - users should only get to see other users’ distance if they are showing their own
Unless located in a country with anti-gay legislation, users hiding their distance should not get to see distance on other profiles. This would inspire a much-needed culture of fair play and reciprocity on the app, while also incentivizing members to stop hiding and stop wasting people’s time. (Not to mention that with distance shown on more profiles, browsing would be easier and the overall user experience would improve.)

More sophisticated profile
Even if it’s a hookup, most times you are going to want something to talk about before you unzip. Profiles are always loaded with user’s ridiculously rules, qualifications and expectations. Having a place to connect with someone on the basis of sports, education, jobs, interest would be a plus

“Looking Now” and “Hosting Now” icons
It would be helpful to have a simple toggle that can be turned on or off if you're actively looking for “right now,” as well as an icon like a little house that indicates you can host and a walking character icon if you cannot. Turning the feature “on” could either highlight your profile in the cascade or add a symbol like a flame next to your display name.
(Some profiles say they are “Looking For: Right Now” in their profile but may not actually mean it, so this would help with that.)1,739 votes -
Being able to send videos through chat
It would be nice to be able to send videos through chat. Most of the videos that many people would like to share are probably traveling, cooking, hiking, nature, vacation, pet, sports videos. The list goes on, it doesn’t have to be inappropriate videos that we share.

COST!
You cost for subscipions is insane. I and many other people are going to leave your app completely due to this. Have a small fee a lot of users will pay instead of a huge fee no one will pay. Otherwise, your app is done and over. way too much competition out there. Dont be greedy, it'll hurt you. You'll see.

Reviews/Rating/Flake
To help weed out the spam users, fakes, and flakes, grindr should have some sort or rating system for 2 things.
1- if the person flaked or showed up
2- Did they send pics that actually look like themthere should be one button that either party hits confirming they are meeting (this would also help track down the hate crime on here). Do the ratings by stars or a 1-10 scale.

If you add section where people can share cruising areas in the world would be great. For people XTRA/Unlimited should be for free this info. People who are exhibitionists like me we need info about places where we can have safe fun and we can be more free. Other gay apps have same section and it's really cool. Switch profiles
I have a "normal" profile on Grindr, with a clear face pic and a vanilla text. But I do have some fetishes, which I'm hesitant to include in my vanilla profile. So, it'd be nice if I could have more than one profile, so I could switch to my kinky profile when I'm looking for more kinky dates and then switch back to my vanilla profile when I'm just looking for "normal" dates. Currently, I use a spare phone to switch to my kinky profile. But this could even be a premium feature. Switching personas. Lots of people play different…

I think you are missing out on a big community of people. The chub and chaser community. I know their are other apps out there but if you could just add chub and chaser to the tribes section you may get a lot more people interested in the app that are from the chub/chaser community.
