Incentivize members to fill out their entire profile
Give members incentives for completing each field on their profile. One option is to reward members with 10% more guys on their cascade per field completed. (First-time users who have not yet created a profile, for example, will unlock more and more profiles on their local grid the more they fill in their profile. Once all fields have been specified, all locked profiles on their cascade will be unlocked.) This is a standard feature enacted by numerous online social and dating services. Having mechanisms in place that encourage members to fill out their full profile will help put an end to blank and incomplete profiles. With more detailed profiles available in the app, members would enjoy easier browsing, more effective filtering, and an overall sharpened user experience.

This is a great idea. This gives good balance between desire for privacy and need for posting some information for people to find.
That said: Not all fields should be the same weight. Having a good description of who you are/what you want/what you don't in your profile should be worth more than height and weight. A picture should be worth more than putting down your preferred pronouns.

Sometimes you click on a photo only to see that the profile is completely blank. What a disappointment! I propose to add an icon to the photo showing that the profile is filled e.g. one quarter, one half, three quarters. This would also encourage people to full in their profiles, leading to a better experience for everyone.

Offer 2 advanced filters of our choice for the rest of the time when you fill 50% and 100% of your profile. This makes, paying for advanced filters a waste of money, since 75% of the profiles do not have the parameters you paid to filter after.

Set a required minimum of information to create a profile and then set markers to encourage adding additional stats. Many apps require users to add something here or there in order to view more profiles within the app.

I also like this idea. Too many times have 100% blank profiles messaged me wanting a hookup. I'll indulge the idea until I get a picture and they are nothing close to my type. So I'll end the convo or just flat out block them. This is only to have them message me from a backup profile or a friend's profile and start bashing me.

I wish Grindr would make more user information necessary. Over half of what I see is completely blank profiles; half are spam and half are catfish. I just believe that making it necessary to fill out more information would deter some of the people who get on here and never do anything or try and catfish people from doing so.

Grindr makes it hard if you have a type. Most don't have their weight posted so I can't search by weight. Like, I'd love to filter to show only guys over 300 pounds to hide all the skinny guys I've got no interest in, but then since most guys dont post anything filtering is impossible

Basically your profile can have no photos but you must fill in all the fields on your profile or else you will have less profiles you can view
