Give warnings of any violation
After being a long-standing user of Grindr, making use of all it has to offer in a respectful and honest way, two days ago my account got randomly banned. No warning. My profile had not changed and in my mind did not overtly break the guidelines. I would like warnings on such drastic action please...as this would help users to rectify any unintentional violation of Grindr‘a rules or guidelines. Notify me when action has been taken against a user I blocked
I would like some kind of progress or notification that action has been taken against people who I have blocked. I receive far too many nude photos and I want to see that slow down.

A ‘Not today’ function
A temporary blocking feature for when you want to ‘disappear’ from someone for a day or period of time. Think of all the times your just not in the mood for a certain someone and wish you could hide for a day, you still want to keep them as an option later. Just not now lol.

Block someone after they block you
A lot of users play games, then block you. How about an option to block them as well, AFTER they block you? This way they can't unblock you and then start again with a new pic or profile.

Filter out spam accounts
There are so many spam accounts with the same bio text. I have been flooded with taps from bot accounts to the point where I wonder what utility this app has anymore.

Too many Fake Bot Accounts
Using Grindr has become increasingly frustrating. Despite paying for an Unlimited membership at $40/month, the overwhelming number of fake bot profiles has made the app nearly unusable. At this point, it feels like 90% of the interactions I receive are from bots rather than real people.
Considering the premium cost, this makes the service feel extremely poor in value. It’s disheartening to pay for features that are overshadowed by fake accounts and spam interactions. What should be an enjoyable and social experience has instead become exhausting and disappointing.
I hope Grindr takes stronger action to reduce the prevalence of fake/bot…

Get rid of fake profiles
Sick and tired of all the fake profiles, paying member and the site is unusable as its just people pretending to be someone they are not.
Grindr needs to impose verified scheme like that of scruff.

Get rid of bots/create a verification system
There are times when 8/10 users are all the same ‚person‘ with the same picture, stats and profile. These obviously are bots.
Get rid of these profiles and introduce some kind of verification/scanning algorithm to filter out these bots before they can even enter183 votes -
Verified profiles
I am someone who puts my own picture on the display but a lot of times I am asked by users to share more pictures or video call for verification doubting my integrity. If we can introduce a feature of verification and get blue ticks in, match profile picture with my live photo, that would really help people feel that what they see on display is true and no other verification needed.

What’s with all the false profiles. Isn’t there something you can do to block these?
Isn’t there a way for you to limit the robot profiles so I don’t get them. The Fresh Faces section is just a string of the same false profiles. And now they tap as well.

Enforce consent etiquette when sending nsfw pictures
Too many of the older gays on this app seem to think violating peoples consent is okay because "this is grindr get over it"
A lot of people would would appreciate the option to report those for failing to ask for consent before sending their nudes.
Alternatively a blur option similar to what facebook messenger does for messages coming from unfamiliar profiles where any images sent are automatically censored and its then up to the user to choose to view the image or not.135 votes -
Mock location
but why did you prohibit the fictitious positions? what does privacy have to do with mock locations? I live in a big city and thanks to mock locations I met my ex boyfriends who otherwise I would never have chatted with since they didn't show up nearby. this is no longer a dating app but only to steal money. your subscription is ridiculously expensive! Do you understand that everyone is complaining?

Add Un-Tap Feature
If you accidentally tap someone you should be able to tap it again to un-tap them as if it never happened
