Limit notifications from people I’ve never chatted with
I get a lot of unwanted chat/tap notifications from strangers I haven’t shown any interest in, so I end up ignoring or disabling all Grindr notifications.
I’d like the following options in settings.
Notify me about chats and taps from:
- Anyone
- People I’ve chatted with/tapped before
- People I’ve chatted with/tapped in the last week
- FavoritesIdeally these would be separate toggles, so users can see the available options and control them separately.
If that’s too many options to implement, adding any of those options would be much better than the current all-or-nothing chat notifications toggle.

The blockers who get yours personnal info
I thinks the blockers are the main issues on the app and they bring is bad reputation.
When you send your location, adresss, personnel photo, phone numbers and you wait that personnwho was suppose to come. Finally, the guy just blocked you and your not able to keep any info on that person. This person can keep all your attached and infos in conversation.
Well I suggest that:

Allow equal access to all local profiles for everyone. The poor should not be punished
Just allowing equal access for locals to everyone. Limiting it to paid subscriptions in an area where most are poor and struggling is very elitest and hurtful.

Please more privacy
Hello Grindr team,
I would like to ask if you could add a feature that allows users to block profiles based on a person's phone number. Similar to Tinder, where you can create an account and block the phone numbers of people in your contacts so that if they create a profile, they will never be able to see yours, and vice versa.
I think this would be a great privacy feature and would help users feel safer when using the app.

Create separate Grindr platforms for meeting and adult content
Grindr should separate in-person connection from passive adult-content browsing.
The mobile app could remain primarily focused on meeting, chatting, dating, and finding people nearby. Separately, Grindr could create an age-gated adult website with Instagram-style profile feeds or creator pages where users can post explicit photos, videos, and updates.
A user’s app profile could optionally link to their Grindr web feed. People who only want to view someone’s content could visit the feed without messaging them, requesting albums, or implying that they want to meet.
This would create two clearer experiences:

Review pricing
The pricing on your subscription tiers is far beyond what most people can reasonably afford. Xtra was already expensive, but the new Edge pricing is on another level entirely. How does $150 per month or $330 per quarter on sale, and $350 per month or $770 per quarter regular price, make sense?

• Paying monthly comes out to $1,800 per year on sale or $4,200 per year at regular price.

F off with the obnoxious, intrusive ads! I will never pay your exorbitant prices. Reduce the cost or get rid of the ads, or I'm done.
And the app doesn't work properly either. I'm not paying premium rates for an app that doesn't work properly. But trying to coerce people into paying with intrusive, obnoxious ads. Sort it out, or I'm gone. Then you won't get any ad revenue, nor membership revenue. Your code is crap. Worst app ever.
