Please can we block spam messages sent from 6000km away. Why allow an unsolicited message to appear from so far away.
Have ability to prevent unsolicred messages from over 500km from being recieved apart from people that i had messages from that were originally closer when first messaged

Option to remove read receipts
There should be the option of turning off and on the read receipts. We should have the choice.

App does not orientate or not compatible with smart device landscape mode, nor re-orientates when device is upside down.
As stated on the title, this app is 1 of very very few that I’ve come across which don’t support or are unable to auto orientate/re-orientate to landscape mode (@ least on iPhones & iPads). Also, doesn’t flip 180° when devices are held upside down. PLEASE 4 the love of god catch up w/ the 2020’s & update this!
While I’m at it, 1 more item which is slightly bothersome, however, I’ll give credit to say it’s improving w/ time —the app seems a bit of a resource hog & loads down your device after having it open for extended…

“Taps” are fucking stupid.
“Taps” are one of the dumbest fucking things…besides the expensive upgrade. lol profiles near me says 33 miles away and the next profile is 1037 ft away from me…ads are irrelevant and plentiful…messages appear 30 minutes after someone has sent it to your profile…anybody can report you…because you ask them to fuck off…and you expect someone to pay for this shit?

Can't see who viewed my profile after boosting my account anymore
It is no longer possible to see who viewed my profile after boosting my account (it used to be possible until recently).
To me, the main purpose of boosting my profile was to gain more visibility and connect with people who had viewed it. Today, after boosting my profile, I only received a few extra chats. Since it's no longer possible to see who viewed my profile, I can't contact them, so I don't see the point of boosting anymore.
Basically "boosting" now simply means paying to wait for people to send me a message. What's the point? I will…

Why has blocking people become so unnecessarily complicated? It used to take just two clicks, but now it’s four, with a huge popup and even more steps. On top of that, I already spend so much time filtering out profiles I’m not interested in, like trans women or men with long hair or cross dressers in women’s clothing. It’s frustrating and makes the app feel less appealling to get on. For a service I’m paying extra for, this decline in functionality is unacceptable. New fake profiles everyday
Few ideas to help:
-Grindr can add a necessary section that tells when the profile was created.This should help other users identify new fake profiles.
-Also with AI photo verification which is used in badoo and tinder.
- Or to add fone number as a must for registration

Profiles not loading in distance order
Sometimes while refreshing the grid there will profiles that spawn that are 30+ miles away. It should be more consistent when loading.

XTRA Membership - what is the point of paying for this membership which gives so much restrictions and asking for much more money ?? Grindr is sinking fast in comparison to other apps for dating and hookups.
Secondly, the latest update, when roaming in other areas. One would be able to scroll down and click on each profile. Now it constantly scrolls back to the top, making it virtually impossible to scroll in other areas.. Constantly wanting $$$. Robust Filter Options
I, along with everyone else using this app, want each user to have a pleasant and safe experience online. A part of that experience heavily relies on the end user's ability to spend more time connecting with others who they may feel are a match and less time browsing faceless, incomplete, profiles. Corporate has determined that filtering on ethnicity is racist in nature but fails to address other area's that could lead to shaming/harassment (i.e., body type, age, etc.). If we are asked what our ethnicity is, but can't filter/search by it, what's the point? More time should be spent…
