We need a Gender Filter
We need a gender filter. While I support trans men and women, I'm not interested in sexualinteractions with them and frankly I'm seeing way too many trans women profiles with the same pic. Please I'm a gay man only interested in cis men. Why do I have to scroll through twice as many trans profiles?

End the extremely long mobile game ads.
These ads are way too long and intrusive. All they do is make me quit the app immediately to get rid of it. Ads should be no longer than 5 secs and it’s the same game ad every damn time. This has to be the most annoying thing about Grindr. I understand the free platform needs ads to support itself but this ruins the user experience and I think there are better ways to handle longer ads. Validate Profiles with Verified Users
Allow for users to have the safeguard option of verified accounts/users. As much as I enjoy all the offers for a sensual massage, it’s clear they’re not real users. This feature will allow additional safety and validation on an app that is so widely used.

STD Status other than HIV
There are other STDs that are very common for example Herpes, HPV, etc. Grindr has an incredible potential to be an early warning system/ allow queer people to anonymously report or receive an anonymous notification if someone you’ve met suddenly tests positive. Or for people currently living with an Incurable STD it would allow us to meet others with the same to meet and help stop or limit transmission as a whole.

Stop showing women!
This is a GAY SITE! Not a straight one! Stop showing sexualised women in the ads! Ain't no gay man that wants to see a pair of breasts while flipping through a dating site! Also bunt out any profiles of women or "straight couples". G A Y SITE! As in Gay Men ONLY. Straight people have every other app that was ever made! They do NOT need to ruin our only safe space that doesn't totally suck like a4a or hornet!

Repeated spam accounts for Trans
Endless spam accounts being set up daily, supposedly by trans women, all using the exact same photos. Block feature for these accounts however does not work and keep seeing them on the fresh tab. Mods at Grindr must realise the pics and profiles are fake every time they approve their photos.

Block
The blocking method is terrible, having to go from profile to profile to block those you are not interested in, still waiting for a message to come out. It should be able to select and block several at once, many people complain about this in the application

Have a way you can send a location radius so you can say you live in this area with out reviling your full location

Mandatory Verified Age/Face
The fact that there are so many blank profiles or profiles held by much older men targeting younger men is unsafe. This leads to predatory behavior, and makes it easy for bots to invade the app. There should be some kind of way to make it mandatory to send a photo ID to verify the person is real.

Notifications?
This isn’t so much an idea as it is a problem… why is it that for every message or tap that I get I receive 3 notifications back to back. Someone will tap me and then I’ll get 3 notifications right in a row saying they tapped me. Wtf?

Can we have a sexual orientation displayed on profiles not just gender?
The amount of straight curious men just got so out of hand on Grindr. Some of this men are just fetishising Transwoman on the app and some trans enables it making it look more look like just a pure sex app. If we have this sexual orientation filter (rather than just gender) we can have the option to see people base on their orientation and find more options for us

Unlimited too expensive now
"Photo Disappearing" function under the unlimited section is too expensive. This is a super way to protect privacy but it is too expensive now. If someone subscribes for a year at a time, can the price be less expensive like 100 dollars? If so, there will be more subscribers and grindr can make more money to operate well.

Blocking
Right now, blocking is a four step process at its very least. Most people block more people than they speak to. And it’s a pain to go to each and every profile to do what needs being done. Many times, you may get viewed by a profile that’s not on your radar, and you may want to block it for privacy concerns. My idea is one step, multiple blocking. The same way one would select multiple pictures to delete in one go.
