1. The number of profiles available for free is too little

   The free tier is getting more and more restricted by the update, it makes sense that there should be a limit to how many profiles u see for free but the number is toooooooooo little for a dating app, especially considering how expensive extra is, and now the fresh tab has been restricted as well .... This is madness, EXTRA should be for extra features , NOT essential ones ! You're slowly making the app unusable

2. Distance filter for everyone!

   Nearest profiles I keep getting are over 100km away! Very rarely do I see someone from my area or at the very least the next city (25km) I’m also aware that the app doesn’t show me everyone, as i have a bunch of friends that live nearby that also use Grindr and they either can’t see me while I can see them, or the other way around despite having filters off for testing purposes. I also receive taps from profiles with tags I have filtered and are near, but I couldn’t see them prior to receiving the tap from them. A great solution would be to have the option to filter out profiles within the desired distance and showing them all. Since I’m getting profiles from so far away, I’m not even considering getting the Xtra booster. Why waste money to see profiles I won’t ever meet irl. If that was fixed, Id happily buy it and support the app

   I say being that Grindr is one of the biggest hottest platforms right now. How about we make a Grindr social media Kind of like Facebook instead only LGBQT are allowed to have access a Grindr social media where you can post your nasty thoughts xx videos and pictures but it’s will cost you in order to join the Grindr social media cause as I said it’s only made for LGBQT folks to share gay thoughts real people sharing and make it affordable for Grindr users

4. Regional pricing

   Please consider setting up regional pricing. Prices for Eastern Europe countries are ridiculously high. You can get Amazon Prime for a year with what one month costs on Grindr. To get fair prices based on average wages for Poland in comparison to USA, they need to be cut by 50% at least. Thanks for understanding.

   Display distance (when enabled) in upper left corner of every visible profile. Only update when refreshing or changing screen. Limit to upper 9 visible profiles to reduce overhead.

6. Get rid of fake AI generated profiles

   I've enjoyed Grindr for many years but in the last month or so it is becoming increasingly unusable for a gay man looking to meet other men.
   The app is getting overrun with fake profiles, using AI generated photos purporting to be Transwomen. I've also seen some profiles purporting to be Cis women. The latter raises a serious question about what Grindr is - inclusivity is one thing, opening it up to all comers is quite another. Inclusivity taken to it ultimate conclusion just results in invisibility of those who Grindr started out trying to serve.
   My other question for you is about Grindr's monetisation strategy. I have noticed adverse changes to the offering for non-subscribers. First it was removal of the ability to block profiles on the grid; this became "hide" and meant that the number of profiles visible decreased. Then there was the change to age filtering. Initially age could be filtered in yearly increments, then it was 3-yearly increments and now it is 5. And with this latest change, filtering for age reduces the number of profiles in the grid.
   Now putting together my two questions - is Grindr deliberately tolerating the fake profiles so that they crowd out the grid available to non-subscribers and deliberately prevent users from blocking such profiles to stop them circumventing this monetisation strategy?
   Are my suspicions well founded or am I being a conspiracy theorist?

7. Bring back unlimited favorites

   I feel like features are being taken away from us and put behind (ridiculously high) paywalls. So apparently there's now a limit to how many favorite profiles you can bookmark and see? Really fed up with all the limitations. It does not make me consider upgrading, it makes me consider ditching the app for good.

   A simple solution would be on signup it will use your current location as your home Country and/or have you choose your Country of residence. From there you add a filter option that reads something like 'only show people in the same Country". For those living in border cities who can deal with cross-border travel and would like to have the option, just leave the filter unchecked. For the rest of us in border cities who do not want to see people in their neighboring country, the filter can then be used and only show people in the user's home Country

10. The Membership fee is too high and the free version offers too little: Not safe or fair Privacy=Money.

    It's a fact other apps have been sued for overlooking the safety of their clients. It is not reasonable that a paying member gets incognito privileges to lurk & troll all, yet a free account suffers this secret observation by those with money. Having money does not guarantee your patron isn't some psycho, it leaves the unsuspecting others at theer y if those affording the ability to cloak themselves. Need I sight a case where several kidnappings, rapes and eventually murder happened with Adam4Adam and their GPS systems? If you are about the customer experience and most importantly, safety, it should reflect in a policy which doesn't grant the wealthy patrons to spy on those who are unable to pay your high cost of membership: Dangerous and Unconstitutionally unprotective. Think about the level of jeopardy you're putting people in with one sneaky ability: cloaking is a super power especially when compared to nothing to defend yourself with. Look at all the blank profiles who have absolutely no information on their profiles. They are lurkers, stalkers, fakes, flakes, etc.. They aren't your typical closeted person protecting their privacy, they are accomplishing protecting their identities falsifying their identities and observing exposed others.

    I also am offended by your inquiring about HIV tests and COVID-19 and MONKEY POX shots. Is this a study of some type of does the gay scene promote discriminatory behavior toward others? Who in todays society requires (or ever has) a monkey pox or COVID vaccine? Not a soul. As for HIV this is a discriminatory question with a two-fold result: Damned if you answer, and Damned if you don't. Sir, I live in a very small town and I am already taking a risk to use a homosexual dating app, I do not want 1970s procedures up in my face concerning an ailment which has been given a greenlight perhaps you should check into: Undetectable=Untransmittable. The way you've worded the question and positioned it in the health screening section lends more power to those who literally hate ppl with an HIV+ diagnosis than it lends any form of support. I can and do handle my self with honesty, I would expect a gay dating app to be up to par with the current advancements in treatment. 35 years is a lifetime of discrimination to survive from misunderstood issues bigotry ignorance reverse discrimination etc. I am not going to swing from an HIV admission in front of people I will never expose to my flowing bloody veins. Your line of questioning lends itself naturally to all the hideous insensitive and bogus fears others maintain, still, in the year 2024. I will not fight this internally by or with this community. 12. Reduce the terrible, excessive, constant, annoying, awful ad space

    I get it, nobody wants to pay the excessive monthly fees for borderline basic features but shoving ads down a users throat in every angle of the UI is not the move. Find a better strategy to generate revenue.

17. Blocks don’t work

    Now you can’t even click on the first “viewed me” profile to block the creeps looking at your profile. That’s the first issue for blocks.

    Secondly, everytime I click back into the app, the people that I’ve blocked before reappear.

    This needs to be fixed immediately. It won’t allow for a comfortable experience if my creepy neighbors just reappear everytime.
