STD Status other than HIV
There are other STDs that are very common for example Herpes, HPV, etc. Grindr has an incredible potential to be an early warning system/ allow queer people to anonymously report or receive an anonymous notification if someone you’ve met suddenly tests positive. Or for people currently living with an Incurable STD it would allow us to meet others with the same to meet and help stop or limit transmission as a whole.

Trans need they're own app too many on here
Grindr was supposed to be a gay hookup or dating app not for trans people that are guys to female or female to male or the ones they're looking for a male and female couple or the ones that say they're straight or the hustlers or the masseuses it should be just guys looking for guys everyone else should not be allowed on the site and also these young kids that keep popping up on here and they're reported and they create another ad. It's to the point where I'm seriously checking out other apps because this is nothing but…

Tags
There should be 2 sets of tags on profiles. One set that describe you and one set that describe what you like/ are interested in. For example: there are straight men on the app that are interested in trans women. It they were to put 'trans' in their tags the way it is now their feed will be a mix of trans women as well as other men interested in trans women. 2 sets of tags would fix this issue.

Auto refresh
Please get rid of the auto refresh, or add an auto refresh customization tab w/in settings. Allow to toggle "manual/auto" within settings.

Distance filter for everyone!
Nearest profiles I keep getting are over 100km away! Very rarely do I see someone from my area or at the very least the next city (25km) I’m also aware that the app doesn’t show me everyone, as i have a bunch of friends that live nearby that also use Grindr and they either can’t see me while I can see them, or the other way around despite having filters off for testing purposes. I also receive taps from profiles with tags I have filtered and are near, but I couldn’t see them prior to receiving the tap from them.…

Notifications?
This isn’t so much an idea as it is a problem… why is it that for every message or tap that I get I receive 3 notifications back to back. Someone will tap me and then I’ll get 3 notifications right in a row saying they tapped me. Wtf?

Validate Profiles with Verified Users
Allow for users to have the safeguard option of verified accounts/users. As much as I enjoy all the offers for a sensual massage, it’s clear they’re not real users. This feature will allow additional safety and validation on an app that is so widely used.

Repeated spam accounts for Trans
Endless spam accounts being set up daily, supposedly by trans women, all using the exact same photos. Block feature for these accounts however does not work and keep seeing them on the fresh tab. Mods at Grindr must realise the pics and profiles are fake every time they approve their photos.

Block
The blocking method is terrible, having to go from profile to profile to block those you are not interested in, still waiting for a message to come out. It should be able to select and block several at once, many people complain about this in the application

Have a way you can send a location radius so you can say you live in this area with out reviling your full location

Mandatory Verified Age/Face
The fact that there are so many blank profiles or profiles held by much older men targeting younger men is unsafe. This leads to predatory behavior, and makes it easy for bots to invade the app. There should be some kind of way to make it mandatory to send a photo ID to verify the person is real.
