   Being back free explore with 1 free profile unlock! This app is already buggy and hard to find people to connect with, we should be able to at least be able to view profiles in explore. The free version of this app isn’t even worth the effort anymore.

2. mass delete all blank profiles

   There should be option on the app to mass hide/block blank profiles/no picture in one go, i don't care what those people with blank profiles/no pictures' situation is just upload a picture onto your profile. Its annoying having to see blank profiles/no pictures everyday...im having to to hide lots of profiles with no pictures

4. Complain regarding recent changes to Grindr Xtra

   I am writing to express my profound disappointment and extreme frustration with the recent changes implemented in the Grindr app, particularly affecting long-term Xtra subscribers like myself. I have maintained an active Xtra subscription for several years, during which time I have been highly satisfied with the service and the enhanced features it provided.    Specifically, I have noticed the following detrimental changes:
   1. Age Filter Limitations: Previously, users could select specific age ranges with precision. Now, the filter is restricted to only +/- 5 years, which severely limits the ability to find compatible matches. This change feels arbitrary and counterproductive, reducing the app’s usability and personalization options that were a key selling point for the Xtra subscription.
   2. Explore Feature Restrictions: The “Explore” function, which allows viewing profiles in other locations, has been drastically limited to unlocking only 5 profiles per day. This is a massive step backward, as it hinders the exploratory aspect of the app that many subscribers rely on, especially for travel or expanding connections.
   These modifications are not only inconvenient but will undoubtedly cause widespread confusion, frustration, and annoyance among countless other Xtra users. What is the purpose of paying for a premium subscription if the features are being eroded to the point where they mirror those of a free account? It raises serious questions about the value proposition of Xtra and erodes the trust I have built with Grindr over the years.
   I strongly urge you to reconsider these decisions and revert to the previous, more flexible features. Failing to do so will likely lead to a significant backlash from the subscriber community, potentially resulting in cancellations and negative feedback. 6. Moderate profiles better. Lately every 4th profile is the say girl with the same clothes, they are obviously spam

   Moderate profiles , if you don’t pay you have to verify or something to prevent all the fake GIRL profiles. Then there are the bots. Seriously for 300 hire some decent consultants and have your systems trained using genAI to weed out the non real profiles.

7. The neverending amount of spam combined with a recent hike in monthly membership charge has me baffled. Definitely not renewing.

   It's unreal that this couldn't somehow be controlled. I've been waiting for a spam blocker option for an additional $42.99/mo.

13. Settings for allowing only people with pics to view my profile. Allowing only people with a face pic to view my face pic profile.

    Tired of being messaged by people that don't have a pic when they wouldn't have messaged me if I didn't have a pic.

    Who can view my profile: <dropdown>

14. Stronger Scam Ad protection

    Grindr and Scruff both perry street software branches are running into a massive issue. This issue is the Spammers that get through to an individual. On Grindr I average anywhere from 2-5 an HOUR . Scruff remains the same about 3 or 4 a half day. But the reason I bring this up is how grazing the spammers are now now it is females even contacting you trying to get you to go to a website or something of that nature. Unfortunately what's going to happen is people are going to get so tired of all the spam that are coming through on these apps they're going to uninstall them and stop using them your user base is going to go down and eventually they'll go away. Mine is strongly suggest focusing your attention to this matter and doing something about it that perhaps doesn't eliminate it but gets it down to very rarely because why are people going to use an app if all they do is get advertised to on it by spammers?

15. Issue: Explore cities are not localised enough

    The larger explore features seem to show cities you might visit once in a lifetime. I'm in the UK, it would make much more sense to see UK cities rather than cities in the US or Australia. Besides having a look at people's photos, I'd just be wasting their time tapping or messaging. At least if the cities were relevant to my country I might be more inclined to visit.

16. Block spam bots using x/twitter/IG handle

    Is there any way you can use a rule to block these accounts using their fake Twitter/X or Instagram profile when they enter it into the system. Ive seen so many that have the same X account with different pictures.They are also using text now like typing in the word "sociaIs!" to probably avoid getting flagged when they post in their description. But its really making it annoying. Maybe finding the IP or telephone numbers when creating account. Or using a stronger CAPTCHA so they dont get through at all.

17. Harrasing fake government AI profiles

    There's too many fake profiles. Everyday I am bombarded with taps and messages requesting I join their only fans. Please add more keywords to the block list. Like OF only fans website socials and .com

18. Allow for blocking with out having to open and view a profile. May help cut down on spam.

    In order to block or hide someone you have to tap on and view/open their profile which sends them a notification that their profile was viewed. Bots may keep this data and use this to know what profiles are active. By allowing to block/hide/report by long pressing in their image on the messages/taps/views pages and displaying a popup asking if we want to block/hide/report the profile may help reduce spam.

20. Ideas for addressing the huge increase in spam.

    The amount of spam accounts is out of control, and it doesn't seem like Grindr is doing much about it. Here are some ideas:

    Delete the social fields from profiles and set up better text filters for profile text. The social media fields are only used for spam anyway.

    Or, keep a record of the spam social accounts and just block those from being linked. Many are constantly linking to the same social account, how hard is it to block that account from all profiles?

    Shadow ban accounts that get one spam report until they verify as human. This slows down spam accounts making them less worthwhile.

    Limit the ability of new accounts to tap people. Taps and social links are the main tools of spammers.

    Bring back blocking. The correlation between removing blocks and increasing spam is pretty obvious.

    Track which uses are providing consistently reliable spam reports. Increase the weighting on their reports so when they flag a profile it gets shadow banned until review.

    Spam profiles usually just put up a fake picture and then profile text sending you to socials. I'm assuming they never respond to messages. The ratio of messages received to messages sent could be used as an indicator, especially for new accounts.

    Once you introduce more of these ways to flag accounts that are likely spam, you can either shadow ban until they verify as human (or until review), or remove features until they verify. For example you could disable their ability to tap until verify, or hide their images until verify, remove the things that spammers are relying on to get wide exposure.

    Something has to be done to try and address this, the app is approaching 50% spam at this point.
