I'm using it for 2 reasons
1) to use Grindr at my job using my location of my home because I don't want anybody knowing I'm gay at my job

Ethnicity Filter
With all ‘more awareness’ to black lives matter, latinos presentation, non-binory representation, asian slut-haming: ethnicity proves to be so extreme lovers of their favorite types of sex. Drag range is now beyond its limitations so bring back now that we have ‘ so de many are finding their ethnicity😈🎉👌😼😣😀😍🎉😛🥰😈😺

If someone is banned, tell them why
Tell someone why they are banned. The whole process is in reverse. The expectation is for me to read the grindr Bible without knowing what I’m looking for. Offenses are subjective. The whole process is a mess. Drug dealers and pedos inundate the app….I’m just trying to have fun. While having paid the annual subscription. .

Don’t delete pictures when you uninstall app
Instead of going and deleting pictures when we uninstall the app let the pictures stay on the app so you don’t have to keep taking new pictures.

Less intrusive ads
Currently, the ads are very intrusive, which hinders a good browsing experience. If I compare Grindr with Scruff, Scruff is definitely better because it has a better user experience since its ads are located in a specific section.

Discreet App Notification Sounds.
Have discreet app notification sounds for when you want notifications on. Similar to the discreet app icons. The Grindr notification sound has become a staple sound so it would be good to have options.

Favorites starred tab
Please consider putting favorites/starred profiles back where it was, or at least separate it from the other search tabs (online, position, etc). It is not the same with favorites as looking at other profiles. Having to change 2-3 tabs just to see my whole fave list is irritating.

New changes to favourites means you can no longer see when they were last online, a feature that was very handy.
The recent upgrade in the app has resulted in favourites moving to a grid, just like everybody else, I it was much better the old way. It also means you can no longer see when they were last online without clicking on their profile, a feature that was very handy/useful. Displaying favourites differently to the regular grid was a great feature of the previous generation of the app.

Allowing multiple phones on 1 Grindr Account
My partner and I have a joint Grindr account for 3sums however, only 1 device gets message updates and they don’t sync. It’s really annoying! We don’t want to make our own accounts, we’d rather be in the loop at the same time, just like we do on Instagram, Facebook, and Google Voice.
Please Sync Messages between devices! I’m sure other people have multiple phones and are having the same issue.

Only fans, spam, filters, glitches
I subscribe to unlimited yet it’s getting harder and harder to find my type. Only fans and spams wanting me to go to sex websites are constantly in my messages and taps! People who I’m not interested in are tapping and messaging me. And the glitches in messaging and “online people” are ridiculous. Dating apps are suppose to filter what you are into yet Grindr wants to show u everyone. That’s not being inclusive at all! Profiles that say not into MEN! Then why are they on my grid! All you guys care about is money. I’m done subscribing enough…

Dump the foreign bots
It is increasingly useless to even use the app because each time I login within seconds I get 5+ bots or foreign accounts claiming close proximity.
I understand that it would be incredibly difficult to try and keep them in check but I offer up two simple solutions. Since VPNs make it hard to accurately track a user location I would first see if their ip address location changes drastically from time to time then make them first pass a ‘r u human’ test the next time they want to send a message. So people using random vpns can still…

Search messages
I used to be able to pull down on the messages pane in the Android app and a search bar appeared. Now it does a refresh. There is no need for refresh, search is essential. Please restore this critical functionality.
