Just got banned from Grindr
I know it’s not the end of the world and I have apps like tinder, jack’d, archer and sniffles. I’m just appalled that I was banned for LITERALLY NO REASON! I sent the appeal, nobody’s gotten a hold of me yet and I feel so screwed because Grindr is one of my only ways of meeting other gay guys my type (jock, muscle, bubble butt, solitaired, etc) and I tried using 3 different emails, they didn’t work and now I’m just waiting for Grindr support to get back to me, when should I expect a response?

Stop putting a random person 60miles away at the top with close ppl
The app is always putting one person that is 60 miles away at the top with people 1 mile away. I’m close to subscribing but definitely will not if I keep getting people over 60 miles away mixed in with people 1 mile away
As a software engineer,this is bad practice because I’ll refresh numerous times and see those fake profiles “bouncing around”… I’m sure others realize this too….lets hammer your database with tons of ppl refreshing over and over and over to see which in the top six are actually near us and who is 60+ miles away

Show how distance in profile pic again
I don’t want to have to click on the profile to see how close, I miss it when it was displayed right on the profile picture without having to click on the profile

Stop escorts service on grinder
I live in mahipalpur.here many fraud guys makes grinder account with name pd or pad top. They are using shortcut name to make paid profile.they are asking money for sex and promoting escort service on grinder also they do fraud and blackmailing. Today's situation every 6 profile out of 10 in mahipalpur is promoting paid service. Its a very serious problem nowadays
I request you to take a very strict action against them because its very important now
Block their ID's and also ban their phone so they won't be able to make paid account again

Introduce verification check
As many apps like Tinder, Bumble, ... use a verification tool such as taking a selfie, connect your phone by texting a code, ...
This will make it less accessible for scammers with fake profiles as Grindr currently is full of these profiles. I report about 10 on a daily base and it's clearly getting out of hand.
A blue check next to a username stating that profile is verified would go a long way.
You don't have to make it as a must to use the app cause I know you cheaters want to stay anonymous but for those…

Hide profiles without picture
I'll pay for the app the moment I have the option to hide profiles without a picture from my view & to hide my profile from profiles without a picture. There is no good reason to not have a picture or to allow profiles without a picture, I assume the absolute worst & IME that assumption is true/valid. Bring back Favorites tab by replacing the newly added Right Now tab
Honestly, placing such emphasis on the Right Now option that it has to exist both as a tab and a filter is beyond me. I have ended up using the Favorites option very seldom since it became a filter. It just isn't practical as a filter.

The aggressiveness of ads
The aggressiveness of the ads needs to stop, or at least calm down. I don’t mind an ad every now and then but every 10secs is a bit much. The prices are too high to get the no-ad experience. I’m sure people are ditching the app because of this.

Bring back the specific location on map
Hi, I’m currently paying for the most premium membership, but I’ve noticed an issue on the Explore feature. Even though I set a specific location on the map, the app keeps showing me profiles from other areas instead of the exact area I selected. Also, the distance used to be visible (in meters or km), and now it’s gone — that was very useful. I would really like to have that feature back, since sometimes we’re specifically looking to connect with people from a certain area. Please consider bringing it back. Thanks!

Settle on one paid plan and stop the extortion. Quit bullying other apps from existing. Stop the greed and show some real support to users.
To those who run the app and get a paycheck for your work in the app. For me, it's become a pain to use Grindr in many ways. I understand that you got a business and it ain't a charity and things cost you guys money, but we all know that even if the app was free to use you would still get a pretty high revenue just from users data alone. But okay that may not be public so in order to cash in you have to have the user pay, okay. That's fair. But it's become so unbalanced…

Manual spam filter, block messages with a specific phrase
So many of your spam bots have such simple patterns. Why not just let us handle that ourselves by allowing us to specify a blocked phrase, such that if a user introduces a new chat with said phrase, the chat request skips notifications? Perhaps add a separate chat list for spam too and add a little notification dot to it too, like how email works.
