Spam is out of control
I'm getting about five or six spam taps and/or messages every day. The developers need to do a much better job of restricting these profiles. For example: if a new profile send a bunch of taps in a very short time; if a profile jumps location too quickly (i.e. location spoofing); if they have "visit my socials" in their bio, or is just a straight up "go to my website" message, etc.
There is plenty that grindr COULD be doing to stop this.

Too many women
Since when did Grindr become an app for straight men and women?? The whole point was that it was for gay men looking for other gay men. A large number of the “women” actually appear to be scams trying to steal your money or data, but that’s not the point. Get rid of all the women on the app for gay men. I understand bisexual men looking for other men to join them and their partners; that’s not the issue. I am in no way interested in women sexually and it also makes Grindr feel like it is no longer…

Can there be lower prices for premium memberships? This would allow more people to join in and create revenue by volume not by price.
Lower prices would mean more volume of sales and increase production by at least 50% year over year and have access to more services as a free option too that will allow people to test out the products and then make the purchase.

Bring back the old blocking button. The Hide function is ridiculous. It doesn't even work, the profile stays on the grid, taps + messages.
The old block button was much safer and user friendly then the new hide option. The hide button doesn't even work. If you hide a profile they stay on your grid, there taps and messages are still there, if they were in your favourites list they stay in your favourites list. So it's a completely redundant option as it doesn't actually hide anything.
Removing the option to block people, makes Grindr unsafe. If it's not returned I'll be deleting and never using this app again. We should have the option to block people for our own safety on a social…

There is no way to move forward from having the Madonna Color icon instead of traditional yellow. You are prompted to change it upon loading
I should have an option whether or not to have a PINK icon for Madonna. The app loads with the box for it but only lights up the “Adjust” button which then forces you to change your icon. I don’t need a discreet icon. I want the original icon available.

Maybe don't make the Madonna ad look like an actual online profile?
Also, maybe don't make the ad autoplay audio that basically explains to the people around you that you are, in fact, on grindr trolling for ass. I'm openly gay, but I don't necessarily want random people I'm standing in line to know I'm currently trying to fuck someone. I know you people are astoundingly stupid and out of touch, but this is new level of completely screwing the product in order to make a quick buck.

Remove bots for paying users
As a paying user I feel like I should be able to have the luxury of not dealing with bots or ads. I get all kinds of messages from OF creators and WOMEN! I’m a gay man on a gay app I should not be getting women on here! But most of all with how much you charge for the app there should be some kind of way to prevent ads and bots!

Paid user shouldn’t have adverts
Paid members should not be seeing adverts after they paid not to. Worse again they should not be seeing advertisements from artists, companies, health services or even Grindr themselves. The only exception to this should be and advertisement to say locally to the user (geolocation) a new vaccine has been released or serious outbreak has been identified. Change favourites back
The new favourites filter has made it difficult as the profiles are smaller and they are not arranged by distance either. I have to actively add them into my filter to find them now, which takes away viewing people in the area.
I prefer it the way it was with a separate tab down the bottom where you can easily find it. Far more user friendly as it was.353 votes -

The amount of adds being pushed at me, all from grindr itself, while paying for unlimited is obnoxious. Stop it.

HARASSING FAKE PROFILES
There's too many fake profiles. Everyday I am bombarded with taps and messages requesting I join their only fans. Please add more keywords to the block list. Like OF only fans website socials and .com
