The old block button was much safer and user friendly then the new hide option. The hide button doesn't even work. If you hide a profile they stay on your grid, there taps and messages are still there, if they were in your favourites list they stay in your favourites list. So it's a completely redundant option as it doesn't actually hide anything.

Removing the option to block people, makes Grindr unsafe. If it's not returned I'll be deleting and never using this app again. We should have the option to block people for our own safety on a social platform.
