1. Remove explore restrictions on Xtra subscription

   Xtra now only allows tapping or messaging 5 profiles while exploring. This is such a bummer given the subscription amount we pay for this service. Now I need to upgrade to Unlimited version which is way too costly for exploring.

3. Country option

   We need a way to select our country and then a step further of I’m willing to travel or not. Half of the guys showing on my grid are Canadian as we live close to Niagara Falls NY. Super frustrating finding a hot guy to only find out that he’s across the border 😪

4. The proliferation of Bots / Ads / fake profiles / catfish

5. Stop resetting my filters. It's annoying.

   I don't know if this is a bug or a "feature", but my filters reset every time I leave the app. It's super annoying and I hate it. Make it stop.

7. No show, ghosting, time wasters

   Please do something to help cut down on people who make a plan and don’t show up, don’t say anything and stop replying. When someone commits, they tie up your time, you stop looking, you get ready to host a guest, or you travel only to a fake address (very dangerous) or they just don’t answer on arrival. The only way to stop this in community is by the community calling it out. Even had a person I met 2x before tell me he was alone, invited me, and walked 7 blocks over only to watch him open his door to another dude, looked at me and basically shrugged and shut the door. Then said later he didn’t know who it was, he had just been referred by another fb. Why didn’t he tell him he was expecting me any minute? This and too many other similar happens all the time, probably due to drugs, sex addiction, whatever, but it’s getting worse. It’s just MEAN now.

8. No respect for users, blatant attempt at a money grab as Grindr dilutes the grid with fake profiles

   Grinders treatment of its users has become is disrespectful as any app I can recall. Generation of multiple fake profiles that are duplicated every 40 to 50 mi in the grid serve no purpose whatsoever besides diluting the grid in The continued lack of respect grinder has for its users and the obscene level of greed this company embraces. $20 a month for an app is a lot. $40 is insane but people pay it myself included. Not because it is worth it but just because the app is so fucking terrible. If you don't have it it becomes basically unusable. And that is referring to the app going back a few years today. Not having one of the premium subscriptions means the app is no more than an ad generating POS. I cannot believe unmitigated Gall of this company intentionally create dozens of fake profiles. Repeat them every 40 or 50 mi. They're not selling anything. They're not spam. They are designed to look on the surface like real profiles but they're obviously not. Brian are said they wanted to eliminate spam and they wanted to get rid of all this other stuff. Well at least the spam was real and not made by the company who made the app for no reason besides making the user experience as unpleasant and frustrating as possible to try to force people into spending money on it. I've paid $40 a month for quite some time more out of habit than anything. 0 everybody has suffered through this garbage and these terrible clunky apps. This terrible redesigns apps crashing constantly. Nothing working right. It just being nothing but a complete klusterfuk but people still pay for it. Thank you for encouraging me with your there's a complete lack of respect for your customer base along with rewarding Customer loyalty by intentionally making your product worse knowingly creating junk profiles just to force people to have to pay for your product to use it. I'd always thought pretty low of the company but I hoped in time that they would improve and thought by beta testing and paying for it and trying to be involved. Maybe I could provide some insight or offer anything to help improve an app that has been around for a long time consistently gets worse. But I see now that that I was stupid and played for a fool by this company. Just like everybody else that's paying for it and using it. I for one will not ever buy a subscription or give them another dime. In fact, I think the best route will be to delete all of my data from the app and then uninstall it and find something else. Paying $500 a year. This company work at making their product as poor as they can in order to try to get people who aren't paying for it to pay for it is unconscionable. Everybody's ripping consumers off these days. We all know that but this is so egregious and insulting that I for one would rather not use anything than endorse this company. Your loyalty is noted the onger you've been a customer and the more you have paid Grindr. They document it because the more you give them and the more loyal you are, the more they spit in your face. The audacity and complete disregard for the customers who have made this trash app. What it is should be repaid back to grinder in kind ideally with nobody paying for it anymore and them either selling it shutting it down or making at least some semblance of a working, scalable product. Seems like it would be a great place to work. Go in everyday instead of improving things do your best to find ways to make a bad product worse. 9. Get rid of taps, nothing but a scammer paradise!

   Taps are nothing but a tool to try to get you to send $ to these scammers who pose at hot guys, trans, etc advertising services they want you to use cash apps to send them $, dont fall for it or give out your personal phone #. GET RID OF TAPS!!!

12. Distance Search Filter/threshold please!

    You have so many options to filter users that appear in the grid yet no way to filter out people that are 138 miles away when the last person I looked at was 40 miles away.

    Easy fix!!

    Just do a slider in the filters tab with a new distance filter. It sets the max threshold and doesn’t show profiles that go beyond that set mileage. Ooorrr maybe profiles past the set mileage show up muted like 50% dark and black and white. Yeah?

14. Remove persistent Xtra banner

    The Xtra banner used to be visible only when scrolling Xtra profiles. Making it persistent as it is now makes it more difficult to scroll, and removes the visual cue that the user was reviewing Xtra profiles.

    Please revert to having the banner only after viewing available/ free profiles

    Hi everyone,
    I’ve been using Grindr for a while and really appreciate the updates, but I was wondering if there's a way to request a feature or if others feel the same. I think it would be useful to have an option to hide our online status or appear offline to certain users or in general. Sometimes users just want to browse quietly or take a break from chats without appearing rude. I checked the app settings but didn’t find anything related to this. Has this feature been suggested before on the forum? If not, how can I officially submit it on Grindr UserVoice for consideration? Would love to hear your thoughts.

17. Automatically block fake profiles?

    There are so many profiles that are fake, perhaps AI-generated, phishing/theft scams. A good portion of them have the same display name, “READ MY BIO,” always in all caps; another other is a bio full of “advertising” for “massage services,” always including the same descriptions about “sensual experiences.” Same with fake profiles asking if you want a “master,” “daddy,” or “dom,” and they somehow need your financial information immediately or need you to “register” on whatever paid “safety verification” cite they have set up to run their scams. It is annoying how many of them there are, how many messages spam us from these profiles, how many we have to scroll through and formerly block, now hide - an objectively worse feature in every regard -, and better security measures on the app to ensure these profiles do not exist in the first place would do wonders for improving the experience.

19. Mandatory sex field and filter

    I am a homosexual male and am only interested in finding members of the same sex, what this app was originally intended for. There are far too many women on the platform claiming to be "boys", "men", etc. This is really disconcerting and the current "gender" filter doesn't help much because it is not mandatory and buggy, I can't even set my "gender" and there are so many options it is just nonsensical and ridiculous. I've restricted it to "men" and "not specified" and, of course, I am still seeing many women trying to entice homosexual men into heterosexual sex.
