If you guys don’t do something about the volume of bot accounts and scammers on this app, I’m going to cancel my subscription. I block ten or more a day, usually.
This is totally unfair to us and it only seems to be getting worse over time, so get it together or I can’t justify continuing to use this app.

Bot Elimination.
My Idea is to use multiple measures to make creating bots on this platform hard and expensive. I would hate to see that this company is allowing bot users to create bots to inflate user numbers. We should be aware of this kind of stuff as a community. Here are some things you guys could start working on for the better of the user community. can prevent bots from creating fake accounts by layering multiple defenses that make registration easy for real users but expensive or difficult for automated scripts. AI data training should be Auto Opt Out
I am so uncomfortable that everyone is automatically opted in to have their chats photos and locations fed to train an AI and even if you opt out the data has still been taken. THIS SHOULD BE OPT OUT BY DEFAULT I am horrified that pictures of me might have been used to train an AI when i opted out the second I could. This is shameful and terrifying

I pay for a subscription for no ads and I still get ads all the time. Stop it.
Work on the app. People sending me messages 18 times over and over again. They’re not doing it. It’s you and your app.

Stop constantly annoying people with adverts.
You allow spam, “ go to this site” you do nothing about time wasters and if we pay the subs which are double other sites you still want more!
This site is 80% full of idiots because you allow it’s if you had one reasonable sub price you could sort the issue out and get more revenue. Grindr is something which just saying the word gets my hackles up and the more ads I see the less inclined to subscribe I become.4 votes -
Allow options to only see local and no visitors or people on roaming

Stop bogus users directing us to other URLs I g get as many scammer text on here as I do genuine texts.
When something is so obvious that they are a scammer or directing us to other sites. Grindr needs to be far more efficient at removing these accounts.
It takes way too long for moderation to kick in. With agentic AI and generative AI you should be able to do this pretty quick.

Watermark photos taken earlier in Grindr can’t be used as profile pics.
Allow previously taken watermarked pictures to be used in profile pic lineup. As of now, you can only take a new ones in the app or upload from phone library.

Bring back ethnicity filter
I am writing as a minority member of the LGBTQ+ community who has been deeply impacted by the removal of the ethnicity filter. Living in a predominantly white area, I have found it increasingly challenging to connect with others who share my cultural background and lived experiences. The filter previously enabled me and many others to create genuine connections and feel a sense of belonging that is often missing offline and within broader dating spaces.
Please listen to the feedback from minority communities who rely on the app for more than romance—we depend on it for community, solidarity, and understanding.

mass delete all blank profiles
There should be option on the app to mass hide/block blank profiles/no picture in one go, i don't care what those people with blank profiles/no pictures' situation is just upload a picture onto your profile. Its annoying having to see blank profiles/no pictures everyday...im having to to hide lots of profiles with no pictures

Better moderation of fake profiles
There needs to be better moderation of fake profiles because it doesn't look like there is any at all right now. There are more fake profiles than real people on the grid and you expect ppl to pay a pretty high fee to subscribe to an app that seems to get worse with each update instead of better. It feels like the only moderation done is when the people using the app report a fake profile. If we are paying for your service we shouldn't be doing the work that needs done, we aren't employees. Do better.

Suggestion for Stronger Spam Bot Controls
I’d like to formally report and raise a concern regarding the increasing frequency of spam/bot accounts I’ve been encountering. Over the past several days, I’ve noticed a significant uptick in clearly fake accounts that are disruptive to the platform experience. Here are the specific patterns I’ve observed:
1. Tapping Behavior
• Today alone, I’ve received 27 taps from accounts of this type.
• Over the last few days, I’ve reported each one as spam, but the issue persists.
• These accounts repeatedly tap multiple times in short intervals, creating unnecessary notifications and noise.

Moderate profiles better. Lately every 4th profile is the say girl with the same clothes, they are obviously spam
Moderate profiles , if you don’t pay you have to verify or something to prevent all the fake GIRL profiles. Then there are the bots. Seriously for 300 hire some decent consultants and have your systems trained using genAI to weed out the non real profiles.

Remove IG and OF "Ads"
I spend most of my time Hiding tons of these profiles, many of them which just come back and Tap me. It's crazy how much space they occupy. I guess they're "paying" customers but it's so freaking annoying. It makes me want to leave the platform.

Feature: Prevent messages from too far away
A good paid feature would be to prevent people messaging you if they are too far away. Anything over 25km away is generally a bit pointless. Often a waste of time asking each other how you are for a few days.
