1. Enable block option

   Block option was far more better than hide option. People can approach even after hiding their profiles.
   If we have chatted with someone, and we block them, may the chats be visible but enable an option that both the people can't text eachothers.

4. DO AWAY WITH BOOST!

   The most annoying PAIN while on/using the Grindr app is the super persistent ads and pop ups or messages promoting the Boost feature that I have NEVER used nor will I EVER choose to use. I’m subscribed as an unlimited member and part of that decision was to ensure I was not plagued by any sort of ads (I understand an OCCASIONAL message but those pop ups AND consistent adverts on the main grid every few grid columns after scrolling down a certain distance?). Please please please.. DO AWAY WITH BOOST!

   If not, then at least implement features where we can opt out of that marketing or have an algorithm in place that picks up on the amount of times that a user chooses not to BOOST when advertised to them and then block those adverts to that specific user in all its forms since that user is clearly not interested in that option. Its a win win, the user wins by not being annoyed and Grindr wins because the user is no longer annoyed/frustrated and happier!

5. Restore the original ethnicity filter option back.

   I'm a white male and I live in a area that there's very little to none diversity. Before the ethnicity filter got removed, it made it a lot more easier to find different people of race and color but since it's removal, it's so hard to find them anymore. It would make it so much more better if the filter got restored back to it's former glory and I could meet different people

6. Verifying every user when they first sign up- too many profiles with NO pictures!

   For verification purposes. Like tinder and MOST other dating/hookup apps have some sort of photo verification system to prove that it’s actually who you say you are. I am SO SICK OF ALL THESE USERS ON GRINDR WITH NO PHOTOS! in my opinion, I think it should be a requirement that if you want to be on Grindr then you need to have a clear, visible unaltered face picture of what you look like, so other members can see who all is in the room AND it’s especially annoying when those exact people with no pictures on their profile go and message someone….. leaving the receiver confused, frustrated and wondering what this person looks like…. Honestly, it’s really just frocking COMMON SENSE AND RESPECT. I mean if you’re that afraid to put your face pic on Grindr, then maybe YOU shouldn’t be on the GAY app! Just sayin’! And I know I’m not speaking for just myself either! 7. Make Grindr Free Again

   We can only talk to 9 ppl on the fresh page & only about 15 on the normal page. Anyone else you have to pay to talk to them. This rolled out within the last week for me we use to able to have a huge range before you did have to pay. This is absurd and an attack on LGBTQ. As lonely as you can be in this community (speaking for closeted,DL,etc) grindr is suppose to be a space to come together and connect with your community, how DARE you try to monetize off that and making ppl feel more lonely due to lack of users to speak to unless we pay u. 9. Ban people who send website links in the first message

   The spammers are usually just sending a link in the first message with a conversation with a new person. If there is a way to track a new user's message activity and how many times they are sending links in the few messages with other users, shouldn't it be easy to block them off the platform?

11. More character spaces and more

    Need more space on bio, not being able to put there what I need to leads to unwanted and unnecessary contact, 255 characters is nothing, I need about 800-1000 characters and same for display name.

    We should be able to send mobile numbers via chat too, I've noticed I can't and we are all adults.

12. Delete all messages select all option

    There is no option to select all or delete all messages . I have to individually select each message and delete. There should be a select all option to delete all messages and free up space for a clutter free experience.

13. Location accuracy

    So…we should be able to set a distance on how far we’re looking for hookups. I search in the “explore” section in an area 5 miles from my house and Grindr constantly insists that profiles 100-500 miles away is “nearby”. If I search for profiles in Austin, TX it doesn’t make sense to show me profiles from Dallas, TX. That’s NOT nearby. That’s a 3-4 hour difference. Location accuracy NEEDS to be updated.

14. Auto ad opening

    Remove the feature that auto-opens ads. This feature has proven to be an extremely annoying. I understand having ads allows grindr to be free, but tbh I get more frustrated at the app, than people sending nudes to start a conversation.

15. All the girls. This is a gay app. Why are so many girls on Grindr? Can there not be a separate app or even a broad filter? pun intended.

    Have a filter available to everyone which can actively keep girls from showing up near me. I don’t pay for unlimited or xtra and half of my available slots of filled up with girls or boys dressed like girls. This is a gay service. I don’t want to see all these girls on there. Most of them are scary looking and it’s very off putting. Either make a different site/app for t-girls and boys interested in them, provide some kind of filter to screen them from view, or something because I am so over it.

    When I block a profile on my grindr, I am literally just not interested and they are not my type.. Please stop showing people I have blocked on my 'viewed me' list.. When I block someone I want it permanent

    Stop allowing blocked users to still have access to our profile. That’s completely stupid. That’s why they block so they can’t see us. A boy I blocked yesterday and on the blocklist STILL messaged me. That makes Grindr a dangerous creepy app.
