   Put my profile back on main grid, not in top left hand cnr. If I change my status (eg. Not looking) and open app next day I’m wondering why no-one checked me out or msged. Then I click on my profile to see my status. If in top lh cnr I can’t see my status

3. Face photographs should be mandatory to join Grindr

   I believe Grindr should make it mandatory for any user to upload their face photographs before they can join and create a profile. It is very annoying how profile users with blank profiles trick other users by viewing their face images and then blocking them. Grindr is an App used by gay & bisexual men, we all are in the same category, so why hide your face. Restrictions from screen shooting should apply so that images aren't captured, but I very strongly believe that face images in order to create a profile on Grindr should be mandatory, yet I myself am a 100% discreet guy. 6. Slow connection

   It takes forever for the app to update its pages when you go on it or switch galleries. Your competition SCRUFF is fast as lighting! Their pages update instantly! Grindr is painfully slow and unappealing! If you combine all the different threads of people who started subjects on connectivity issues here we would be in the thousands! This issues affects regular and unlimited Grindr users. Stop saying you want to"improve our experience"and actually FIX the issue!

   Please be on the lookout in Florida in the Lakeland/Tampa Bay area there is a malicious criminal pretending to be gay men n grindr with hundreds of fake profiles. She is luring gay men and putting us into dangerous situations in order to isolate, control and erase our community. Please review your logs for multiple fake profiles being created in Lakeland, Florida and surrounding areas. She is also using the app to create her own hidden network by slowing the bandwidth and hacking into 3rd party Google access and mobile data and linking multiple fake profiles together in order to keep a constant free internet connection. Under fake profiles she sends photos and videos without permission. She is also setting up drugging and rapes and theft including identity theft and using drones for surveillance and attacks. Please check the profiles in the central Florida area I have referred this matter to the FBI hacking division.

9. Profile Info to Communicate what we want

   We have the ability of using text boxes and drop-down boxes in the edit profile section to show who we are. Why not give us that same ability in our profiles to show what we are interested in? For example, if someone has a very fixed idea of what he wants in a guy, he can fill out that section of the profile using similar drop-down boxes currently there for your own information. You only want somebody between the ages of 25 and 30? Select that as an option. You are versatile but only want to consider guys who are tops or Vers tops? Let us select that in the profile. Additionally, other users can then search for this information, whether it’s a free search or part of a paid membership. Just imagine how nice it could be if instead of searching for somebody who is a top, you can search for somebody who is a top it off at once also wants a top (or whichever combinations they want.) because as it stands right now, there’s no way to search for someone apart from what they are, not what they want.

10. Restore Bigger Character Limit to Profile Text

    Somewhere around 2016 and update to the app came out that reduced the number of characters users could have in their profiles. I remember distinctly not updating my profile because it would mean needing to trim quite a bit out.

    Yeah that’s probably has to do with the way the string information is encoded in your database. But if you think about it, get more characters for a tweet than you do for the profile text. A tweet gets more. A TWEET. Imagine trying to catch someone’s attention by just sending out a single tweet. Is that seriously enough to describe yourself? If you had more space to describe yourself, or to describe what you want or don’t want to, you might even see a decrease in the amount of potentially offensive text, such as “No xyz.” The inclusion of tags in the profile to help describe yourself is great. But even they are kind of limited and I’ve run into cases where user isn’t using them to describe themselves but rather what they want.

11. Show users distance range/ filter profiles with no distance

    Firstly, let me preface by saying that I understand very well the reasons for not showing someone’s distance if he/she does not want it shown. It can be a combination of privacy, safety, both or something else.

    That being said, I get a lot of messages from people that hide their distances. Additionally, if I am using filters and the results are only profiles that have distances hidden, I don’t know if I’m talking to somebody 5 miles away, 500 miles away, or 5000 miles away.

    We can preserve someone’s safety and privacy while at the same time helping other users find people within their distance ranges by showing some indication of distance through ranges. For example, a variable can be placed on everyone’s profile that shows either something vague (very close, close, nearby, far away, very far away) or something a little more specific (<5 miles, 5-15 miles, 15-30, etc). That way you will have an idea if the person is anywhere near your current location. Because this is a problem sometimes.

    In the cascade, something similar could be done by breaking up the profiles into groups, kind of like when you get to the end of the free profiles and suddenly your face with a group of extra profiles. Profiles in the first group to be less than 5 miles away or simply “close.” And then so on and so on.

    The ability to filter out those who do not show any distance information is also an option.
