   Urgent feedback on user experience and platform integrity

   Hello,
   I'm writing to report a significant issue with the app's user experience. Recently, there has been a noticeable increase in what appear to be fake profiles and accounts from OnlyFans members. This is significantly impacting the app's usability and the quality of interactions.

   Additionally, I've observed a surprising number of ladies profiles I was under the impression that this app is intended for I assume mostly gay men ? , so this seems to be a or an issue with the matching algorithm or are they fake profiles as well ? Just seems weird that this has happened recently and a “lot” of these fake profiles

   To address these problems, I suggest the following:
   * Implement stronger profile verification: This would help reduce the number of fake or spam accounts, improving trust and safety on the platform.
   * Enhance moderation and filtering tools: This could specifically target and remove profiles promoting external content, like OnlyFans.
   * Review and adjust the user matching algorithm: Please ensure that users are being matched with others who align with the app's intended demographic, as well as their specified preferences.

   After you limited the profiles to only about 40km away, I can barely see any with a free account, especially if I live in the countryside where the first gay person might be 30km away. I only see 30 profiles and how can I not match any of them? You're only greedy for money

9. Choosing who is allowed to message you.

   We should have a feature that allows all users to have a “request for chat” button. That way we are not bombarded with messages and pictures we didn’t consent to. It would promote a more organized inbox and enable people to sort through who they want to talk to and who they don’t. We would get a notification where we can press accept or decline and when decline that person won’t show up on our feed and vice versa. The taps button would be converted to the request button and we won’t have an open way of messaging whoever we want anymore. Our messaging and choices with people will be selective and intentional. Too much is being allowed in this app. It’s not longer a proper safe for engagement.

11. Stop ads for paying subscribers

    Ads should be limited to non-paying subscribers. As a paying subscriber, I expect zero ads and find it terribly frustrating that not only am I fed ads in my inbox, but they cannot be deleted because every time I delete one it reappears instantly over and over and over and over again. 12. Are we really ready for Grindr MAX?

    I’m skeptical about Grindr MAX. The ‘personalized matching’ feels like Grindr is stepping into Tinder/Bumble territory, which takes away the control I’ve always valued on Grindr. I doubt the algorithm can deliver meaningful matches when so many profiles are inaccurate or misleading, and the guys I go for usually don’t match back anyway. Features like chat recaps feel more like basic conveniences being marketed as premium. Overall, the descriptions are vague, the value feels low, and the proposed pricing is way too high for what’s essentially just rebranded algorithms. I’d prefer Grindr focus on improving authenticity and user experience, not just layering on fluff features behind a paywall.

14. Taps and favourites

    If you don’t like taps they’re the most annoying thing in the world, and yet you’ve made them central to the UI and made favourites (by definition already an area of prime interest) harder to use by applying residual filters to it; we’ve already done the hard work on selecting our favourites, we don’t need active filters applied.
    Instead of all this dust rearrangement, how about your Product team spends more time detecting and blocking fake accounts? Actually add value for the customer rather than finding ways to fill a two week Sprint with nonsense.

20. Less FUCKING ads, like holy shit. You leave a chat? ad. You leave a profile? Ad. 15$ for 1 week of Grindr but free users get 150 ads

    LESS ADS holy SHIT you charge people 15$ a WEEK in Canada for the extra bullshit HOW do you not produce enough money off that to not completely boggle all the free users (who also bring lots of money in by being forced to watch everyone of these fucking ads) makes absolutely no sense that I can’t view at least 5 profiles before being hit with 30 seconds of advertisement, when I JUST open the app and open a chat reply and leave it and get an ad that is actually fucking ridiculous. Haven’t even been on the app more than 2 minutes and now I have to wait 30 sec to use it again? All of this just to push people into buying you egregiously expensive extra. Really gross business practices for a business that’s largely used by people who already get the small end of the stick a majority of the time.
