  1. Much of what is problematic on Grindr has to do with user attitudes and their distasteful behaviors. The app can only do so much

    So much of the frustrations felt within the app come from unpleasant interactions. The ability to present yourself as someone else, collect pics and block, make demands and behave entitled to personal information from people you’ve never met and then block after a nasty comment and lastly the lack of respect for online etiquette and for the private lives of those you engage with causes many to have to take long breaks as to not be overwhelmed.   2. Clearer message state indicator

    As a user
    When I'm viewing messages in a thread
    I want the the message state indicator "Sent", "Delivered" and "Read" to be much clearer
    so that it's easier to differentiate between the words "Sent" and "Read" as they have the same number of characters/word shape.

    I would love for something like "3 checkmarks" (like WhatsApp) to be implemented.

    Maybe have a coloured symbol alongside the text so it's much clearer.

  3. Refresh the grid on EVERY pull-down, not just the second!

    As a user
    when I'm viewing profiles on the grid
    I want the grid to be accurately updated every time I use the refresh (pull down) function
    so I can quickly see changes to the grid contents.

    Right now I have to pull down on the grid TWICE for the grid to be properly updated. The first refresh does not update the grid contents.

    More is more...but not always. Most of us don't like wasting time and swimming through murky waters. Many people are having difficulty finding their type because apparently it's not financially in the favor or Grindr (and similar apps) to let us know how few matches we really have. Not only should the race filter come back, add as many filters as possible so we can get to the handful of APPROPRIATE matches. I WILL GLADLY PAY.   6. Bring back the previous age selection mechanism

    Please bring back the previous age range selection interface. The new scroll bar requires more dexterity and precision, I want to set the min and max age from a number selector as I used to be able to do.

    I live by a lake, and the mapping does not compensate for the lake being there, so when it says they are three miles away they are actually 12 because there is a lake you have to go around....

    During holidays sell GRindr yearly gift certificates, this way it does not interfere with your current account and the gifted recipient can use it to purchase Grindr membership. Everyone is happy and it’s a very good source of additional income for the Grindr franchise.

  10. Delete all messages select all option

    There is no option to select all or delete all messages . I have to individually select each message and delete. There should be a select all option to delete all messages and free up space for a clutter free experience.

  12. Support for Foldable Devices

    Please add better support for foldable devices such as the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The app doesn't allow for resizing when running the app from the Cover Screen and going to the Main Display. The app has to be restarted. The current app layout fits the Cover Screen perfectly however, we need a tablet layout that better suits the large Main Display. This really should've been addressed in Android version 12L. We're in version 14 and still have a stretched app when Android's platform codes and SDK's support dynamic layouts.

  15. "Shake on it" feature

    Two users should be able to agree on locking in their appointed hookup by clicking a "shake on it" button. Once the hookup is agreed upon, neither user will be able to chat with other profiles for an agreed upon amount of time and their profiles will turn red. Hookups can be canceled if both parties agree to do so, or by a single user via Grindr if a ticket is submitted. Users with a history of flaking on hookups made using "shake on it" will be issued strikes (the conversation will have to be reviewed as proof of flaking.)…

  17. Add a new “Chaser” tribe

    I think it’s time for Grindr to be more inclusive with a part of the community that is always left aside, the Chubby, Bears, etc… Adding “Chaser” as a tribe would make everything easier for us since other gay apps dedicated to Bears and Chasers are not really famous in some places.

    There should be the ability radius As to who do you wanna see on Grindr. It’s so weird that where I’m located, I only see people that are 50+ miles away. Unreal. Is it just me or this app seems to be deteriorating and it quickly it is!!
