Remove the black grade out in photos
Please please. I would like you to consider removing the black "vignette", this black grading out in the top and bottom of photos. This is a dating app and also discreet for many people. Meeting someone either for something short or long term is highly based upon visuals at first. Images are all we have. The top and bottom of every photo either in albums or not is not visible resulting in an unclear perception of the person and his body. Please, just let the photos be as they are originally.

The issue with advertisin
We all know that many apps and website support themself by the money collected through advertising, so far so good, the issue here is that everytime there is an advertising it pushes you out of the app, by force you must close the app and open it again. That happened before with the add from doordash ,I filed a complaint and the IT department of grinder asked me to point the exact date and some details I knew they were requesting just to make time expecting I got tired and stop complaining. Give the possibility, even for a fee, of being able to geolocalise around the world and make oneself visible elsewhere. In low-density areas, Grindr risks being boring and useless.

Locking your profile
I feel like you should be able to set in your setting filtering out certain people from being able to view/message you. Like age cut off. Cause to be honest it’s kinda a turn off having an 85 year old guy ask if he can give you head without his teeth in! True story!

I think it would be important to have people not only state their are negative or positive for HIV, but for all other STIs even if they are curable. I think this would be important because if someone has chlamydia for example, they could indicate they have it which can help users make safe choices.

En estos momentos tengo un inconveniente con una persona que se hace pasar por mi, la idea es poder reportar las fotos y que la aplicacion no permita usarlas nuevamente. Pues si se reporta el perfil simplemente se bloquea, y la persona tendrá la opción de abrir otro perfil con las mismas fotos, o a menos que bloquee la línea del usuario reportado.

Locked Default Settings
It would be very convenient for the discreet user if the settings that one sets on his account would become his default and each time the app was installed on any device the settings would remain the same. This would include discreet icon, pin and notification settings.

How is Grindr xtra/unlimited so expensive while pictures are garbage quality
Are y’all running your servers on a laptop from 2006 with a 2GB HDD RAID system, it’d be nice if they weren’t a striated mess of compression displayed at a mean 144p.
