Make gender identities searchable
Grindr offers a huge variety of gender identities that users can select to describe themselves. However, those same identities are not available as search criteria.
For example, a user can identify as Queer/Cuir, Non-binary, Gender Fluid or Gender Non-Conforming, but cannot specifically search for people who identify in those ways.
At the same time, Grindr includes “Trans” under Tribes and allows users to search for that category. This raises a question of consistency: why is “Trans” treated differently from other gender identities?

Not enough ways to exclude certain types I’m not interested in seeing in my feed. Should be able to exclude unwanted profiles.
There should be clear options that INCLUDE my types and EXCLUDE other types to free up more matches. I hate scrolling through profiles that don’t match my preferences or interests at all. Needs to be revised with a basic INCLUDE/Exclude feature.

Costs increase, as do ads.
I paid for a year of unlimited. I still have to see ads Grindr shoves onto my feed and my inbox. Don’t get me started on Madonna.
What did I pay nearly $300 for? There’s still ads, and you charge for boosts?!

Sometimes someone refuses to show me their album, maybe because I'm not their type or because they know me personally, but they still get to look at mine if i shared first. This feels very unfair. I have to buy every month unlimited because not more transgenders or bisexual copule or girl are available near to my position because this’s app only for man… Please add a new button to the profile registration to specify identity and search preferences:
- Man seeking man ecc ecc
- Woman seeking bisexual couples or submissive men
- Couple seeking a man or a woman
- In summary, add a Gender Identification and what gender are youlooking for to the profile registration. include all relevant non-heteronormative options, We recommend adding a multi-select genre option to facilitate category matching using tribes.

It would be amazing if you told the ai to block scammers constantly using the same pics or writing the same copy and pasted descriptions of themselves.
Regardless of how many times I’ve blocked people I repeatably get the same ones on my feed, they are a combination of gift card scammers, sexworkers trying to extort $, massage therapists, and people with onlyfans accounts.
If you had ai check the pics which have been previously used before for people whose profiles get reported only for them to clone a new one, then those profiles will be weeded out and we…

Over engineering
Lately there are too many “new” things on Grindr. Over engineering features on the app is destroying my experience. The new discrimination tool of matching echos a rhetoric of entitlement and is creepy to be giving inappropriate usage analysis information to a buyer. Guys who go around saying “we’re not a match”, are generally unkind and this diverts from the “say what your into, not what your not”
Yet with all of this, the grid still bugs out and freezes, messages improperly load. And my usage of the app is given to any creep with $350.00
