1. Ban Appeals

   There needs to be a better way about appealing bans. You should tell the user why they have been banned.

   I’ve just received a ban and I’ve been on gridnr for over 10 years on/off and I’ve never done anything. I’ve contacted Grindr regarding the only very small possibility (created another account) and I’ve received no response. That was two days ago. There needs to be a better way of contacting Grindr directly?

4. Taking away features after I've paid for them?

   I paid for Grindr Xtra with a set of advertised features. I now don't have access to those features because you've taken them away and put them in Unlimited only. That is shady as hell and I'll never pay for this app again.

5. Orientation filter / block

   Please create a sexual orientation blocking feature or filter so that the gay men only looking for other gay men don’t have to be bothered with trans women cis women or straight or bi men

   maybe like a man for man only filter or something so men only looking for other men can find the men they need without being bothered by other people’s existence in their way when they don’t get any response from the people actually near them on their free accounts.

   I know there is a block feature that gives them the ability to block their way to a better version of grindr for themselves but it seems to be not a reasonable thing for them to do and after reading how hetrophopic and transphobic and femalephobic so many people on this are I think it would be the safest way for the rest of us, including gay gender and orientation inclusive men to best avoid these types of hardcore man for man and only men types of people because who knows how they would treat a man they invited over as soon as he did something they didn’t like. Could be deadly for anyone not fitting their expectations

   Maybe just a gay men only filter would be easier and automatically block all the people who don’t fit that category from being seen for their own protection

9. Albums should not have a share limit imposed

   I thought my album is simply an easy to send collection of photos you already had permanently sitting there for you to pick from to send anyway. So just like attaching five photos to a message I had assumed you can add this album as many times as you like. Low and behold today the app told me I have to delete some sent albums before I can send more! It simply doesn’t make sense or make things easier. Say for years now I sent 10 photos manually in two batches of five to new contacts. They are on your server multiple times with no limit. Yet now sending the exact same ten photos in a supposedly easy to use album, there’s a limit on how many times I can send said album? Can someone explain this logic to me please? As noted by others you should be able to create multiple albums and be able to send them as many times as you like.

11. Allow us to delete all current message history for both parties in the message, sometimes you just want to restart w/out making new account.

    Delete messages for both sides. Sometimes you just wanna clear all chats and restart, but you pay for subscription so you don’t want to make a new profile. I know we can delete the messages from us, but I wanna know it deletes on their side too. Sometimes you send the wrong message or something, or you need to send a picture to set things up, but you want to be able to delete your picture after. 12. Get rid of fake AI generated profiles

    I've enjoyed Grindr for many years but in the last month or so it is becoming increasingly unusable for a gay man looking to meet other men.
    The app is getting overrun with fake profiles, using AI generated photos purporting to be Transwomen. I've also seen some profiles purporting to be Cis women. The latter raises a serious question about what Grindr is - inclusivity is one thing, opening it up to all comers is quite another. Inclusivity taken to it ultimate conclusion just results in invisibility of those who Grindr started out trying to serve.
    My other question for you is about Grindr's monetisation strategy. I have noticed adverse changes to the offering for non-subscribers. First it was removal of the ability to block profiles on the grid; this became "hide" and meant that the number of profiles visible decreased. Then there was the change to age filtering. Initially age could be filtered in yearly increments, then it was 3-yearly increments and now it is 5. And with this latest change, filtering for age reduces the number of profiles in the grid.
    Now putting together my two questions - is Grindr deliberately tolerating the fake profiles so that they crowd out the grid available to non-subscribers and deliberately prevent users from blocking such profiles to stop them circumventing this monetisation strategy?
    Are my suspicions well founded or am I being a conspiracy theorist?

14. Stop showing people 60 miles away ahead of people 1 mile away

    Why is the grid out of order? The whole point of it is to show people close to you. Now it seems like every few profiles is a far away profile sandwiched between two people 1 mile away.

    And femmes too. Using grindr has become the most off putting experience as a gay man. Sorry nothing ruins the mood faster than being obliged to see intimate photos of something you just find hideous and aren’t attracted to (that’s just my experience sorry).
    I used to use grindr extra outside the city but I have refused on (this) principle to renew it for about 2 years. I also use the app so much less because of this. And I will for certain not pay extra ever if Grindr STILL continues to ignore and violate these reasonable requests.

    Grindr: Stop ignoring valid requests. Any gay man worth his salt is not attracted to a WOMAN. And also is not happy with this situation. Grindr is conflating sexual orientation and gender identity (and forcing it’s users) and this is f***d up!! If you don’t create a separate app (which you should): just give gay men a damn filter. Not just a trial in a few countries (european user)

    Hi,

    I noticed an increase of fake profiles or scams on this app leading to a not safe community/environment.

    Would you consider including a photo verification process like other apps e.g Scruff, Tinder, Hinge?

    Would be great to have a symbol in the profile showing it was verified.

    I understand that some people are discreet or prefer to have a blank profile, maybe include an option to verify without having the photo in the profile too.

    This will help to build a safer environment for people using this app.
