3. Distance filter to keep local

   It waste my time to look at people who are not with 20 miles. I don’t want to look at people who are not local. I am trying a subscription but going back to the free version when it expires because despite the annoying ads, it gives me just local people.

4. Different color text bubbles

   Please give an option to have a high contrast theme or different colors for the text bubbles in messages. As someone with vision issues it is hard to read the iOS emojis default color against the gold background in the text bubble.

It is perplexing and frustrating that Grindr has not followed suit.

   Grindr should introduce a user verification feature that allows individuals to confirm their identities. This could be done through various means, such as:

   1.  Photo Verification: Similar to other platforms, users could upload a photo that matches specific poses or gestures to ensure authenticity.
   2.  Social Media Integration: Allow users to verify their profiles through linking to their verified social media accounts.

14. Its outrageously expensive and when you do pay parts of the app arnt working and finally this app use to be for gay men now its not.

    If you're going to charge such exorbitant prices 1. The app should work as advertised and not be full of glitches 2. The app should be for who it was designed for, GAY MEN, first of all require a face pic for every profile (if your too embarrassed to show who you are on a gay hookup site then maybe you shouldn't be here) it would also alert a person to trans people or women in general. I'm guessing that 40-50 percent of the people on this app identify other than gay or bi, there are dozens of apps designed for trans, swingers, gay curious, straight and many many others where these people need to go and give gay men their app back! Now for your prices I've been a grinder subscriber for about 15 years but the cost is just crazy for what you get at $500+/ year I want a bottle of wine, some poppers, condoms and some lube some sort of gift with purchase because I refuse to pay that much for an app for gay men that is maybe only 50% gay men on it to begin with then half of those people don't post a single picture or any profile info a person could be talking to a bored housewife in Pakistan with an anal fetish and not even know it for hours until she slips up and blows her true identity. It's also absolutely ridiculous to pay such a high fee and then not even get what your paying for. I've dropped my subscription and will no resubscribe untill some major changes are made.     Listen. There’s a lot of DL in my area and I’m often not interested when they send a face pic in private.

    I hate blocking and some guys can’t handle the « not interested » text.

    Archiving messages would let met keep the pictures in chat for the futur and remove the 1001 blank profiles from my inbox.

18. Allow me to appear offline to specific users.

    Sometimes people can be way too persistent, and you'll want to feel free to use the app without making yourself available to those people. And while blocking people may be an appropriate course of action in some cases, there are other cases in which you may want to stay in touch with someone on only a limited basis. Blocking people who know you personally and to whom you may be subjected in real life can also create conflict which this feature could easily help people to avoid.

    I find myself in an unprecedented predicament and turn to you for assistance. Towards the end of December, due to an oversight, I inadvertently created a new Grindr account without updating the birthdate, leading to its suspension under the suspicion of being underage. Despite my efforts to rectify the situation promptly, I was met with delays and misunderstandings from Grindr support.

    After enduring a lengthy wait, I finally received a response on February 8th, 2024, only to discover that my device was banned due to suspicion of being underage. This ban was enacted without prior notification, leaving me bewildered and without access to the app. Subsequent attempts to seek clarification and assistance were met with further confusion, exacerbating an already distressing situation.

    On February 12th, 2024, the ban was removed after identity clarification as an adult. However, to my dismay, a different support agent re-banned my device by responding to an old ticket of mine.

    Despite providing sincere apologies and demonstrating a genuine desire for resolution, my main account remains banned. This ordeal has been deeply distressing, especially considering my long-standing commitment to Grindr since coming of age.
    As a user for 12 years, most of the time with an active xTra subscription, I have never received a warning or ban before.

    Amidst personal challenges and the lack of empathy from Grindr support, I find myself at a loss. Losing access to Grindr, a vital support network for many in the LGBTQ+ community, has left me feeling isolated and vulnerable.

    I implore Grindr to intervene swiftly and reconsider the duration of my ban. I asked for clarity on how long this banishment will last and appeal for empathy and understanding in resolving this matter but got no response.
