1. 12h until block.

   It is very annoying that people keep phishing for your identity.
   They pretend to be nice and then once you tell certain things they are phishing for they block you.
   This makes grindr extremely dangerous.
   They can screenshot your answers and then prevent you from controlling the chat.
   How can you ask this much money for an app that has this much of a security risk?
   And people are blocking just for fun it seems.
   They dripfeed you into submitting your ID and thoughts then once they claimed it just outright block you. Who hasn't experienced this? And why is it not noticed by the devs.
   I rather have someone chatbombing me for 6-12 hours and collect data than having them being able to just ban people once they have filfilled their needs for your data.
   So please put a chattimer that provides a timewindow so these people are less likely to annoy others by their stupid ID-phishing strategies.
   If they know it takes 2 or more hours to be able to block you, it gives us the time to report and catalogue their behaviours too.

3. Selective unit system suggestion

   An update that let's you set certain things like distance, height and weight to different measurement units. In Canada, we use metric for distance but imperial for people. So Canadian users have to always convert values one way or another.

10. Have an option for Snapchat in the same way you have Facebook, Instagram and twitter

    If you have the option to insert your Snapchat addy could be good for more ways of connecting.. instead of instant add tho, it should be like a request button that has to be approved by the profile owner if you get me. Hope you like the idea and can implement

12. Navigation / swiping between profiles / pictures

    The navigation between profiles is sometimes quite annoying. Usually you need to use the upper left "<" to go back to the grid (either when in a conversation or flicking through photos or profiles).

    In many applications swiping from left to right (at the middle of the screen) does the same trick and is much more convenient in contrast to using the "<".

    It would be good if the left to right swiping would be applied consistently within the different sections of the App (from profile to profile / pictures within a profile or conversation) to come back to the Grid/overview.

    Currently there seems to be an error in the logic as sometimes I am tapping on the "<" and it is like a loop - picture or text and it takes several tapping before you're back at the grid. Maybe you can verify if all code is at the right place.

13. Profile Image Quality and Composition

    Profile images viewed in the grid view sometimes show more of the image composition compared to when viewed larger. The grid view is representing images in a square one-to-one ratio thumbnail appearance. But, when viewing the image larger, most smartphone screens are taller than wide, and therefore images submitted as 1028p x 1028p end up getting cropped. As far as I know, you are not able to drag to reposition, change the scale/zoom, or use multi-touch gestures like pinch to zoom, etc.

    It seems an app that almost relies on images; the overall implementation could be more elegant. Allow higher resolution images, use of multi-touch gestures, figure out the aspect ratio issue mentioned earlier, and maybe use artificial intelligence to evaluate images for quality, or even composition.

15. No profiles available

    Everytime i open the app all it says is "no profiles available " on the nearby and fresh pages. If i type in a specific area on the explore page i can see people but i only get 3 free taps/ messages and whenever i message anyone their profile disappears. I have tried everything i can think of and nothing is working.

16. Move back button and other controls to bottom

    On most big modern smartphones the screen is simply too tall to reach the top of it with the fingers from your main hand that’s holding the phone. So you hold it with your left hand, possibly type with two thumbs and to reach the buttons at the top (e.g. the oft use back button on Grindr) you have no choice but to use your right hand and physically move it to the top of the screen to use these buttons. You cannot use Grindr with one hand only. Most apps are like this but please have a look at the Flipboard app. It’s designed for one handed use with all the home, back and forward buttons at the bottom. (See two screenshots attached). This is also why Apple moved the Safari search bar from the top to the bottom. (See third attached screenshot).

    So please consider how Grindr can be updated to be operated by only using one hand and having all the control buttons, and specifically the Back button, at the bottom.

17. Exact distance shouldn't be shown for people less than a km away

    Ive had issues with creeps who can see I'm 20 meters away and essentially msg bomb me or comment on my appearance when I'm out. It's creepy and I think it's really unsafe to have an exact distance shown for those that are closer than a km from you. Tinder has this feature too

18. Give all users the right to turn off their location

    Whilst Grindr doesn’t give your exact location, people can triangulate where you are. I don’t think it’s fair to charge $20 a month for the safety of users. In the last month I’ve been approached by three men in public who have seen me on Grindr and worked out where I am thanks to the distance feature. It has made me feel extremely unsafe. I’m staying in a hotel and a guy discovered this and booked a floor above mine and then tried to coerce me into coming upstairs or giving him my room number. I don’t think it’s much to ask that I can limit who can locate me. I think we should be able to choose who can see our distance or at least put in software that prevents people from triangulating one’s location. There are a lot of creeps on Grindr and as a transgender girl whose only choice is an app like Grindr, everyone should feel safe whilst using it. And maybe creeps need to stop stalking actual teens, I’m 19. No means no.

    t's more social to have people post stories to give a glimpse about their being, yes i can see someone profile photo, but i want to post photos of things i like not my selfies. User profile is kind of a unique identiferdon't want to change my profile photo every time, but i want to have non permanent stories.
