1. Position icons

   I think it would be great to have “position icons”. Basically these would be icons like the emojis we use in nicknames for positions (up arrow for top, down for bottom, etc, with some ingenious extension for other positions like sides). These would display in the grid for example in the top right corner of the profile picture. This way we don’t need to open the profile to see somebody’s position.
   What’s the motivation behind this idea?
   Filtering out is a great idea when you know exactly what you’re looking for, but as we often realize as humans, we rarely do know what we want until we see it. Being part of the great spectrum of versatility, it often happens that a guys appeareance conditions what position i’d like them to be. For instance, some toys i’drather top, and some others i’d rather bottom. Having an idea of somebody’s preferred position at a quick glance would help one identify whether the other person is a match more quickly.
   In conclusion, since you might not want to rule out any position, you don’t wanna apply filters but have a view at everybody. However, not everybody is attractive for every role in your eyes, so Position Icons would give an idea of how much of a match sonebody is, at a quick glance

4. Do not mark conversations as read of long press preview

   When long pressing on a conversation in the messages tab Grindr gives you a preview of your latest messages. This is really useful to avoid marking messages as read. However, now when switching to another tab after previewing, the messages are marked as read. It’s likely a bug, please fix it!

12. Stop females, Ts, opposite sex showing in grid

    While I can not stop anyone from joining Grindr at least provide the option of allowing me to pick who shows up in my grid. Maybe in the profile filter being able to pick [all] males or other sex(es) as an option.

20. Response Likelihood Indicator

    Many men on the app don’t seem to know that no response is a kind of response. In that light, if you could use all the data we know you have on people's profile to indicate the likelihood of a response to your profile. You could create a scoring metric for a user by using the fields that are/aren’t filled out, the options and words used in a bio for people they interact with the most. Scruff has something similar. I think Grindr dudes would appreciate a wingman of sorts to taper expectations.
