1. Does not work in the subway (won’t refresh)

3. Remplacer le terme « efféminé » par « féminin » dans les tags

   Le terme efféminé est couramment utilisé pour décrire des personnes de la communautés ayant une expression de genre empruntant aux codes féminin.

   Problème : ce terme a une connotation historiquement homophobe et misogyne. Loin d’être neutre ou de valoriser, il déprécie les hommes, censés être ‘virils’, qui reprennent des codes féminins, considérés comme moins nobles, plus faibles.

   L’exemple le plus parlant c’est l’absence de terme réciproque. Pour parler d’une femme qui emprunte des codes masculins, on dira couramment qu’elle est « masculine ».

   Le terme « féminin » pourrait donc simplement et utilement se substituer au terme « efféminé » que l’on utilise aujourd’hui

6. Gender filter not working for Men.

   Gender filter does not work as it should. When I search Man it shows me Trans men.

   Grindr support is unhelpful and says 'Trans Men are Men'

   If you filter 'Trans Men' only Trans Men show up. Why are Trans people given more privilege to filter people?

   I am only attracted to biological men.

This is an app geared towards gay men, as a gay man feeling aroused and in a moment of thinking about other men, ads about meeting women is a great way to ruin that mood as it has several times.     According to the app store Grindr identifies as a "gay dating & chat" app, so that is what it should be. Gay is a man attracted to a man, Grindr has no labels for lesbians and never has. Gay means men attracted to men. If you identify as a woman attracted to men you are not gay, you are straight. If you do not have a penis you are not a man, that is actually part of the criteria for scientific classification, historically if a man had their penis removed they were a eunuch. There are women who had a double mastectomy for breast cancer reasons, but that does not make them men. Straight couples looking for a third to engage in sexual acts with the woman, then they are straight.

    i think Grindr could take their layout and start an app for transsexuals and transgenders and others. Grindr is becoming less gay and more like Tinder and more useless. Grindr should stay in its lane.

13. Adverts that won't close. Adverts that hang the app.

    This issue of popup ads that present the [X] to close, that promptly ignores it and opens up the play store or similar and hangs the app all the time having to force close it gotta be fixed. I'm not sure your advertisers would be happy to know that they are wasting money advertising on your horrible app.

    Ability to filter users based on their gender identity; Man/Woman, Trans Man/Trans Woman, Non-binary/Other.

    This would allow gay and straight people to only see users of their preferred gender. It would also make it easier for trans people only looking for other trans people, since the 'Trans' Tribe is full of cis men looking for trans women.

    Proposal:

    I suggest implementing a "Trust Score" for each user profile. This score would be based on various factors, such as:

    Co-optation by Other Users: After meeting in person, users could validate each other's profiles, contributing positively to their Trust Scores.

    Profile Age: Older, more established profiles could receive higher trust ratings, as longevity often correlates with reliability.

    Frequency of Regular Connections: Profiles that frequently connect with the same users or have consistent activity patterns could be seen as more trustworthy.

    Profile Completeness: Including the number of photos uploaded, verified information, and whether the profile is fully filled out.

    Advantages:

    Enhanced Safety: Users would have an additional metric to assess the risk of interacting with certain profiles, which could reduce the likelihood of falling victim to malicious intentions.

    Increased User Retention: From a marketing perspective, users would be encouraged to maintain their profiles longer in order to build and sustain a high Trust Score. This could reduce the rate of profile deletions and increase user engagement on the platform.
