1. Scrollable / Swipable Ads instead of Pop ups?

   The necessity of ads is understandable, but the frequency and intrusive nature of the current ad system, including constantly redirecting to an offsite page when attempting to click out, is over the top. Would placing more ads on the grid that users could scroll over like Instagram or swipe through like tinder be a possible option? Thank you so much.

2. Stop Auto populating my grid

   I really don't want to see people 62 km away randomly popping up in my grid. I refresh and they move a few slots away, refresh again and disappeared.
   This is VERY annoying and I don't want to see these people.
   It seems to me just a REVENUE RAISING gimmick on your behalf wanting me to pay so I can connect with the person.

3. Suggestion for Broader Gender Identity Options in Grindr’s Search Filter

   I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today as a concerned user and advocate for inclusivity within the LGBTQ+ community. Grindr has long been a pioneering platform for connecting people in the gay, bisexual, and queer communities. However, I believe there is an opportunity to further improve the user experience by making the platform more inclusive of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

   Currently, Grindr’s search filter predominantly focuses on men, which can limit accessibility for individuals who identify as lesbians, non-binary, and other gender identities within the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Expanding the search filter to include lesbians and non-binary individuals would not only promote a more inclusive environment but also align Grindr with the evolving needs of a diverse and dynamic community.

   By adding options for lesbians and non-binary people, Grindr can ensure that individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations feel seen, heard, and welcomed within the app. It would also foster a safer and more comfortable space for those who may otherwise feel marginalized or excluded.

   I strongly believe that Grindr has the power to be a leader in promoting inclusivity, and I would be grateful to see these changes implemented in the search filter. 6. Roam option

   Roam option doesn’t make any sense if the local profile turned of explorer search. Paying $5.99 per hour is not worth when a user doesn’t get to see all profiles in that particular area.
   Roam should be exclusive same as local
   Profile features in that area even though users turned off explore search. This give users wide choice of profile and it is worth paying $5.99

8. Lots of ads and suggestion for loyalty programs

   Please can we request the limited use of adds when using the free app, it can become quite tedious and frustrating when wishing to use the features of the app (and more than one add plays.)

   With that being said: would there be any possiblity the Grindr Team would offer a discounted/cheaper subscriptions to its paying customers, (as a one off with a complimentary 1 week or a 1 month comp membership to some random lucky members of the application? It would be nice to have some kind of small gesture/offering to thank those who pay for the subscriptions, but don’t always use the app. Maybe even loyalty programs to be implemented to give back for the appreciation of subscribed paying members and provide them with something like a small guestee to say thankyou.

    You think the ads you force on us will drum up business or views....but the more you shove the ads down our throats every single time we log in, the less likely we are to respond positively to those ads. Right now i cant check my messages without getting the same ad for the nathan lane tv show every. Single. Time. I go to my inbox. I was interested from the trailer i have already seen on facebook, but with you shoving the ad down my throat, i no longer want to even give the show a shot. 13. Grindr support should respond quicker to support emails. Especially when users are making threats against others.

    I sent an email five days ago in regards to a situation that happened in the app. A user used my photo to post as his photo and wrote defaming comments on it and reposted it. The user then got others to do the same. I received multiple threats for my safety from the user who originally posted it and others that contacted me. I am waiting to hear back from Grindr to ensure that those profiles have been suspended and to get information for my police report. The lack of speed at which grindr has responded is alarming and questions the care and safety for all users and urgency to important situations. I can’t help but feel like if I was a trans person that this situation would already have been taken care of and I would’ve already received a response from Grindr, however, since I am a gay male, it seems like it’s not important for Grindr to take this serious. The threats made against me were serious and I fear my safety and well-being online using the Grindr app. I’m posting this year in hopes that somebody from Grindr who cares will actually do something about this and get me in touch with the appropriate people to handle the situation and somebody to respond to my messages that I’ve sent. My email that I am registered to post this with is the same email that I have sent messages from as well as what my account is registered under. I hope to hear from someone soon, thank you.

    I have 5 profile pics/ often the first one is my body only. Over 50 guys have asked to see a face pic and I’m like there 3 in my profile. Are guys lazy or not aware of this feature of or non paying? I know my pics are there- can we let the free guys see at least 2 pics or something?

    I’ve been looking into different ways to store and ship items securely, especially for fragile or bulk products. I’ve seen a lot of discussions about packaging materials, but I’m curious—what do you all think works best for durability and protection?

    Where is the Blocking feature, and what does new Maskng mean? Is it the same? How can I unmask somebody? Masked profiles do not show up on the Blocked list.

    Blocking is crucial in dating apps.

18. None of the recent changes have enhanced my experience with this app. In fact the changes are a huge turn off and annoying.

    I don’t use the shuffle because it is too random and too far away. The suggested users is a joke none are my type and the distance is random. The boost doesn’t deserve a prominent space and the roam is not a worthwhile function for the money. The new right now function is redundant. Most people use this app for rn. Sniffles is starting to be more appealing.
