2. I can’t search by notes anymore. Really makes the app challenging to navigate

   I really wish we would have the option to searched by Notes. That feature was one of my favorites on the app. Since it’s been taken off, it makes it really challenging to find the people I’ve connected with. This app is really meant for community and that makes it tougher to stay in touch with your community.

3. Fake/spam profiles harming experience; need stricter verification and bans to protect user trust.

   Repeated fake and irrelevant (women/heterosexual spam) profiles are appearing on the app, which is negatively affecting the real user experience.
   Please take strict action such as permanent bans, better verification, and stronger filters. If this issue is not resolved, user trust and app usage will both decrease.

5. Prevent AI images uploading

   Uploading of AI generated or modified photos should be disallowed. Easy to detect via image metadata. More difficult for scammers and bots to upload such photo.

6. Disable taps option

   We should have the option to disable taps. 99% of taps now are nothing but bots and scammers trying to get you off the site. Taps should be something that we have the option of disabling, and if someone tries to tap us, they should receive a message that says “this user has disabled tabs. Please message them directly.” This would cut down on a lot of the bots and the nonsense that have become way too prevalent on the app.

8. Add a toggle to remove international profiles

   I think it's pretty simple. I live near the Canadian border with America and don't want to lead someone on because we didn't realize we were in different fucking countries

   My suggestion is to either add a toggle that removes users not in your country from your grid, or to display a flag either in their bio or on their grid icon to show that you may need to deal with the hassles of crossing a nation's border

12. Add trip

    I have an idea for a future feature. Since users can already add trips, what if Grindr could also connect travelers going to the same city during the same dates?

    For example, if I’m traveling to Barcelona from August 10–17, I could see other profiles that are also visiting Barcelona during those dates. It could help people meet, make friends, attend events together, or connect before arriving.

    I think this would make the travel feature much more interactive and useful.

13. Add Hepatitis A and C vaccination status to profile health disclosure and try to group suggestions in browse to alike health profiles

    It's as the title says.
    And suggested partners should be grouped to health status.
    I know it's a bit restrictive, but better safe than sorry.
    And help people who are positive network better with people who are, based on levels, detectability, med schedule. I know people are disclosing, but everybody needs to get tested together.
    Testing parties!!!
    And it helps give each zip code a better support structure for when people find out they do have something.
    Grindr can sponsor local doctors.
    Home test kits are a good start, thank you.
    But, a proper doctor's visit can mean the difference sometimes.
    And they take more blood for the tests.
    Lastly, to reiterate............
    Bring more hepatitis vaccination awareness.
    I know this is already being discussed.
    We need more full disclosure on health statuses
    I am more than glad to pull up my lab report.
    Even if I found out I was carrying an infection.

    Not everyone can afford full spectrum lab tests.
    They're expensive.

14. Issue for free account

    Since many months and updates I’ve been keeping seeing people in my town grid who actually are 50 km far from my city. I compared the issue with a friend who has a paid account and it turns out he doesn’t have the same issue. I uninstalled the app, and installed again. PlanetRomeo which basically uses the same gps radius approach works fine. Is it to push people to buy subscription? I hope not, but it’s so annoying. Please advise thanks

16. Include fields for preference details & consider consent forms

    I know there's a filter, that's not what I'm asking for. What I am suggesting is a behavioral barrier that acts as an identifier of a person's type.

    In the same way I am able to list my status, height, and tribes, I should also be able to list if I'm ok with people under 30 reaching out (I am not ok with it lol). I feel like there's potential to leverage the subject fields to at least cover dos and donts without taking up the character limit in the about me section.

    My suggestions are interests/age range/play style/distance

    Distance preference IE: We should have the ability to stop some random dude in California with palm trees in his profile from reaching out to us if we live in the east coast. Paying members should not have free for all access to free members without guardrails. Users should have the ability to opt-out from receiving long distance/unknown/unverified communications from would-be bad actors.

    I would also suggest an encrypted consent form that grindr can use to verify its user base. For example I am very transparent about my status as I want people to make informed decisions, but I also am generally not interested in anyone who isn't interested in me. So I prefer to connect with individuals who share my diagnosis as well. Its not simply a tribe or "into". Status and play practice should be included. That is the best way to deal with stigma. I am only recently having to navigate this myself, and I've decided I want to connect with individuals who would understand me better, and I want to be able to do it without playing mommy to someone and hand holding them through status disclosures and practices etc. These dudes can barely function past "hey"..."pic?"

    Behavioral style field identifiers and letting members opt-out from receiving communications from members who don't complete them accordingly should be the bare minimum.

    But I recognize that there are hippa concerns about forcing people to disclose that, so a consent form or even status preference field will at least help as a behavioral deterrent for trolls and impersonators.

18. Use AI to detect and remove bot accounts faster

    The bot situation is getting worse every month. I report profiles daily and the same template bios keep popping up within hours. Grindr needs some kind of AI-based detection that flags duplicate photos and copy-paste bios before they even show up on the grid. I was reading about how companies hire AI dev teams for exactly this kind of thing on https://skypeek.co/web3 and it's wild that a paid app with millions of users still can't solve this. Even a basic pattern-matching algorithm would catch 80% of the spam profiles that keep ruining the experience.
