Friend request
I have a friend who also uses grindr but the only way to “friend” each other is using explore and trying to find his profile. As of right now I can’t find him. I wish I could send him a link or a friend request via text or whatever to be able to find me on grindr.

Speak Up rooms
Please make such safe spaces in the app where individuals experiencing bullying at school, college or other educational or workplace can share being anonymous. Every individual needs someone to vent out their concerns. I live in india where LGBTQ isn't much appreciated, i have seen news of young students committing suicide for getting bullied on basis of their sexual orientation. If such spaces exist then people getting bullied can share their concerns and people like me who are willing to help and can help such people. Make it so people can screenshot conversations and pictures
Make it so ppl can screenshot conversations and pictures, make it so ppl can turn on an option that no one can take their conversation any where but the app. And/or have disappearing messages. Because ppl like to out others to be petty and it's not cool.

Ability to un-read read messages
You can "unsend" messages as well as "delete", "reply to (specific message)", and "search" for messages but what if you read a message that either you don't want the person knowing or it's quite simply just not convenient to reply as that time? You should be able to mark read messages as unread.

Could you actually make it a dating app and not some site for free prostitution…
I don’t want the first message I receive to be a dick pic and then they expect a conversation to evolve from it.. I’m sick of I.. I just want a relationship and the min-max age preference doesn’t work because I have people who are well above my age I don’t want messaging me, i have the “wanting images” ability off and well no one reads bios.. no one is considerate or even nice about it either… I’m not treated as a person but treated as if I’m the 50th whore in their DMs… I’ve left the app before due…

Minha ideia é troca de fotos conjunta , as duas pessoas escolhem uma foto, a imagem apareceria primeiro desfocada, e para trocar as duas pessoas tem q clicar em aceitar, e para ficar mais seguro a pessoa pode cadastrar o Instagram e não deixar ele visível e escolher uma foto postada nele ,

distance controls removed
people spoofing distance in the past has allowed childish and mean people to fool me into going to meet them only for them to not really be there and I ended up in a dangerous place. this should not be allowed and infact should be blocked by your app.

Tags in common
The app could have an space/filter to order people based on the tags in common (from people with more tags in common to people with the least and no tags in common). In this case, it would need a distance filter because if there wasn't it would show very far away people.

Allow transgender men/ AFAB individuals to post photos to their profile that other cis men can.
I am a transgender man and I’ve been using grindr for about three years (on and off). The one thing that I find disappointing about grindr is that cis men can use pictures of them without clothes (genitals covered) on their profile, but transmen/AFAB people cannot. I try adding a picture as showing as much body/skin that a cis man is showing, but mine gets rejected. This is incredibly transphobic and it’s clear grindr doesn’t care to adjust the criteria for pictures uploaded to a users profile. They are saying I’m not a man therefore I can’t do the same…

No one reads profile info
When a profile is clicked to be viewed, instead of the pictures being at the top you should have to scroll down past the profile information to see the pictures. That way at least some people who don't read will see the things in all caps or emojis stop signs things like that and maybe they will get some information out of it at least.

Filter who can see your profile
Make a separate filter section where you can filter who is able to see your profile to cut down on being contacted by so many people who are not your type or who do not bother to read your profile. If I am seeking a certain type, I don't want to have to deal with all the random people who aren't that type.
