Messages update delay & lagging
After updating the apps, the chat messages refresh delay to pop out a new message. Clicking into an album that shared by others are currently more difficult and stuck in the conversation page.

Allow users to opt out of being messaged by "recently joined" profiles unless a user initiated contact first
As Grindr allows users to have multiple profiles and unlimited or Xtra features transfer after a very short wait when switching profiles, the ability for abusive exes or stalkers to continue to pursue their victims by repeatedly creating new profiles to harass, bully, or threaten them renders the app unpleasant and at times unusable. Allowing individuals to opt out of being messaged by these profiles is ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY as a free feature in the app to protect users. Or, better yet, since Grindr is capable of device banning individuals, why not allow users to opt out of being messaged or…

Different color screen options?
Hello! I hope this message finds you on a good day when you are in a good mood! I really think GrindR should come out with different message screen and keyboard options/colors for those of us who don't want people to identify our screen, as GrindR (most people knowing it as strictly a gay hookup site and not a dating site or place to chat too) Like if we're just chatting and we're at work... or if we're around family or certain friends. Not being able to click & open profiles on the Who's Viewed Me feature except on Unlimited
Make the Viewed Me feature free for Xtra members at least...having to have Unlimited to access this is sheer greed on Grindr's part

Ethnicity filter or an ethnicity tag.
I am a person of color and would love to find others like myself for a sense of community. It’s not racist to have a preference or to want to connect with those who can understand you more culturally. I moved from a city that was mostly Caucasian and received more hateful messages when the filter was removed.

Refresh Function on every page of the app
Which the glitches that are occurring in the app for messages and taps, why not add in the “pull down to refresh and reload” function that exists on the grid?
As it is now currently I’m having to completely close the app to see new taps I’ve received. Frequently it’s the same case for messages. Give us a manual refresh option!

To add a feature allowing you to change the obvious orange and black colour palette of grinders interface so that it makes the app more discreet when chatting in a space that you would prefer or require more privacy.

fake profiles sending messages; and probably harming real API guys in the process
Four of the last 20 messages I've received (20%) are from profiles that clearly belong to people who are running scams. The pattern is consistent. Usually the person is much farther away than other profiles (i.e., 4 miles, compared to 1-2), most commonly the profile photo is of someone of Asian descent, and the opening line is always something like "what are you looking for on here?" (which would be clear if they read my profile). No matter what you respond with, you get a message back that says something like "I'm looking for friends and a deep relationship with…

You're able to hard press on a profile photo and either 'tap, favorite or chat'. Can you add 'block' to the hard press option as well yeah
