Can’t silence the sounds with IOS
Please create a setting to turn off the sounds (tap & messages) for IOS. The app cannot be used discreetly!

Segregate messages by received and sent
Can we please have an option to filter messages by received and sent like in a mailbox? At times you want to see just messages of people who have responded or sent you messages and having the sent messages too especially when you’ve reached out to many people, gets difficult to screen and sort.

Stop compressing the photos within an inch of their life
The photos are so pixelated i can barely see anything. Stop compressing the photos so much or give us the option for a high data usage vs low data usage mode. I know that this compression is likely to save on storage & data egress costs but i am an unlimited paying customer, i should get highest quality possible photos

So many bots lately!
I live in a small city (250k) - the amount of bots (all with the same downtown/obviously VPN set location) is absolutely wild. Every single one of them is (of certain not-gay-man identity) promoting their OnlyFans through twitter/x or Snapchat/telegram. I’ve been an unlimited subscriber for 3 years or so - Grindr DO BETTER!

Visible profiles of 600 reduced to 300 in Xtra
When I initially subscribed to Grindr XTRA, one of the key features was the ability to view up to 600 profiles in my area. I have recently noticed that this number has been quietly reduced to 300, while the subscription price has remained unchanged.
I find it very disappointing that such a significant reduction in functionality was made without informing existing subscribers. This change significantly impacts the value of the subscription I originally agreed to.
I kindly request that the original feature — access to 600 nearby profiles — be reinstated for existing XTRA subscribers. I believe this would be…7 votes -
Ads
The amount of ads I’ve been getting recently is actually obnoxious, to the point where I’m typing this. I refuse to pay for the subscription. At this point I don’t even watch them I just exit out of the app and restart it. If it doesn’t get better I’m just going to delete my account and only use Sniffies.

Diapers Tag - please read my comment
This app needs to have the tag diapers added to the tags. No it’s not everyone’s thing but the rest of the tags aren’t for everyone either, which is why we get to choose our tags. Scruff has a # feature for ABDL, diapers, etc. Recon has an ABDL tag, Switched has a diapers option, Grindr…. Nothing. ABDL isn't a concern for minors using this app to get into Grindr. Better ads integration
If ads are required to fund grindr, the current obtrusive, irrelevant full page ads will ultimately lead to the app’s demise. You need to partner with local LGBTQ+ organisations, events and companies to integrate a discrete ads stream, or banner in a way which does not interfere with the user experience, and advertises things which may actually be relevant. For example, a local movie showing, local pride event, health supplements, gym memberships, activities, lgbt+ sponsored companies etc. This should provide more revenue to increase free features, decrease the cost of paid features and promote communities, rather than just annoying users…

Hide profiles extra
You aholes had better get rid of the hide option before you end up in court! Members can now favourite ⭐ a profile and then hide that profile and still monitor it using their favorites grid. Thanks for arming stalkers with the perfect tool! My stalker found me today because of you fukin twts. I know this because I have to have a blank fake just to protect myself on here! Mandatory profile verification to prevent fake accounts.
I understand that users want secrecy and discretion, which leads them to not have a photo of their face on their profile, but in the account creation process verification should be mandatory to avoid fake accounts.

Bring back the block option please
Hide option doesn't help at all.
Sometime there are people who abuse you and bully you. but due to hide option you can't block them and they still can message you.

The cost is really high and should be free for us user for a month or at least make it cost like $4.99 or give us a month free subscription please and thank you.

All my notes in favorites are gone!
Optimal use for Favorites should be for every Grindr user, as it was before.
All my notes to my favorites (I put a lot of effort in) are gone. Hence the app is less functional and less safe. Unbelievable that Grindr did this.
You changed favorites and taps! And not for the better.
Really disappointing. Bring favorites and my notes back!
