Scammer profiles and lack of meaningful blocking
It's insane that you let people join without filling out profiles to some minimum level. There are profiles that literally only have a "." Nn the title line and are completely blank and void of any information. It's also insane that people can set up unlimited new accounts. There are a huge amount of malicious users that delete their accounts every day and start new ones daily. Longer 'about info' length for bio when paying
Limited amount of bio info is too short when paying subscription. Should be able to add more about ourselves and what we are looking for.

Profile creation time / Verification
To minimize catfishing, fake accounts and abusive people, I suggest seeing how long ago a profile was made.
Or adding a badge if someone is new.
People that get reported and blocked just keep creating new profiles to continue harassing others and I’m tired of it.10 votes -

Masc/Fem and Gay/Bi profile edit option
Have an option within the edit profile for someone to put off they are masc, fem, neutral, or gay, bi, pan… ect. That way you can view someone’s account and see right straightforward if that person is your type or not and not have to waste time with someone you may not be attracted to.

Grindr Xtra Subscribers should get more features considering how expensive it is.
Xtra has become a HUGE ripoff. The differences between an Xtra subscriber and a free basic member are so minor now. What are they doing with all the money they are getting from this ridiculously over priced app. Even the customer service has gotten worse. Try putting the money you get for the app back into it and show appreciation to your subscribers instead of gouging them. Unlimited is outrageously over priced! Small penis
The “hung” tag is great but without “small” Grindr is feeding a toxic masculinity mindset that hung is to be admired but small penises are not worthy. This is damaging self esteem in a lot of men and reinforcing anxiety for most men. Normalising small penises (or even average) would really help our community’s collective mental health. Most men are around 5 inches, let’s remember.

Longer bios
Allowing for more characters in bio allows one to flesh out personal details, desires, info, etc, as opposed to using shorthand. Those who want to keep bios brief can, but as Grindr seeks to expand and cater to different crowds, perhaps a longer bio could help with diversifying the app’s usage.
