3. “Accepts NSFW pictures” setting should be meaningful

   If my account is set to “not at first”, other users should not be able to send pictures unsolicited. I can’t stand being continually harassed with unwanted images because respecting my choices is optional for the sender.
   Obviously we can’t monitor the image content constantly, but perhaps a prompt on sender end to inform them of my account setting such as;
   “This user has stated they do not accept NSFW pictures at first, send anyway?” Since most don’t even read accounts before sending, as a deterrent. Maybe paired with the ability on receiver end to hide thumbnails of images sent anyway, and decide to open them or not?

4. Community Moderators to Flag Paid Profiles

   Dear Grindr Team,

   I’d like to recommend a feature to help reduce the number of fake or paid profiles, which can negatively impact genuine user experiences on the app.

   Problem:
   Many profiles in certain areas promote paid sex, paid massages, or ask for money, which goes against Grindr’s community guidelines and ruins the experience for users looking for real connections. Reporting individually helps, but it’s not fast or effective enough in areas where this problem is common.

   Suggested Solution:
   1. Introduce community moderators — trusted users within each area who can flag profiles that promote paid services. These moderators could be reviewed or rotated by Grindr’s team.
   2. Create a clearer system for users to report “Paid Services” like sex work, escorting, massages-for-money, or scams.
   3. Automatically hide or review flagged profiles if they receive multiple trusted reports — this would make the app safer and cleaner for everyone.

   Giving the power to responsible users in each city to help moderate content will greatly reduce scams, fake profiles, and unwanted experiences.

   I’d like to suggest a feature that would greatly improve the user experience — especially for people who have specific preferences.

   Problem:
   Currently, it’s difficult to filter out profiles that aren’t aligned with what I’m looking for. For instance, I’m not interested in meeting crossdressers or those who identify as women, but many such profiles show up in my area. Similarly, some users are looking exclusively for women, which doesn’t match my interests either.

   Suggested Solution:
   1. Make it mandatory for users to specify their gender identity in their profile (e.g., cis male, trans male, trans female, non-binary, crossdresser, etc.).

9. Delete albums you've shared with someone who's Blocked you!

   Once someone blocks you, or they deactivated their account. My already shared album and photos I've shared with them, should be deleted! So they cant have access to them after they decide to unblock you. Everytime i open my album and who I've shared it with, the number is always bigger for a moment, than the one that resets too. That definitely shows me that it's shared with more people than what its showing me. And have an option to unshare it with. So a work around, is you put it into the code that if someone blocks an account they loose all album media of the blocked account. This is worrying and you should strive to protect your users. Not enable the predators. Thanks

Haven’t even been on the app more than 2 minutes and now I have to wait 30 sec to use it again? All of this just to push people into buying you egregiously expensive extra. Really gross business practices for a business that’s largely used by people who already get the small end of the stick a majority of the time.

    Have at least a minimum number of items that must be filled out on a profile, way too many profiles with literally nothing in them. Profiles should have a real username not some wierd nonsense that changes every day. Profiles shouls have as a minimum: Age, Body Type, Dick Size, Role, Smoker/Drinker Y/N, Tattoos Y/N, Host Y/N

    On the Spain/Spanish version of the app, when you view a profile of someone you recently tapped, a banner appears which says "Tapped you just now". This is incorrect - it should say "You tapped just now" - or even better, in Spanish.
