5. User Experience Decline Driven by Inadequate Spam Controls

   I am a paying customer, and the current user experience is being degraded by an excessive volume of fake and spam accounts. At this point, I spend more time blocking profiles than engaging with legitimate users. This is not an acceptable experience for a paid platform.

   The lack of effective spam detection and enforcement is a core failure. Existing controls are either insufficient or not being applied at a meaningful level. This directly undermines user trust and the perceived value of the subscription.

   There are also clear gaps in product functionality:

   • Filtering: Users need more precise filtering capabilities, including the ability to search by specific physical attributes (e.g., chest/pecs) rather than broad or vague categories.
   • Photos and albums: Profile photos are inconsistent in quality and often misleading. Stronger standards, improved album functionality, and optional verification would significantly improve credibility.
   • Profile tagging: Optional structured tags (e.g., interests, lifestyle, or values) would allow for more efficient and intentional matching.

   The current state of the platform feels cluttered, inefficient, and poorly moderated. For a paid service, this reflects a misalignment between cost and delivered value.

   Addressing spam control and improving filtering and profile quality should be treated as product priorities.

   I think there should be a category for guys with average/smaller dicks to have a place where they can feel safe and connect with other guys who aren’t “hung” - it’s really not fun being bullied by hung guys for something that we can’t help.

9. Lawsuit on the horizon

   Why has no one presented a class action lawsuit against grindr for the overwhelming amount of privacy violations that you implement in your aggressive ad targeting. Your developers and marketing team need to start selling ad space to someone who isn’t forcing our devices to open into other browsers and apps. Also, the amount of times I’ve had to opt myself out of your AI setting, which I never approved in the first place is absolutely asinine.

11. Make face pics mandatory for all accounts. Face pic must br verified and match identification used.

    Government issued identification must be used to have one account. Face pic must be verified and used as profile picture to use any services offered. No verification means no chat hook up or viewing options in app. No shows or trolling incures a demerit point. After 3 demerits you are permanently banned.

12. Tell the truth on the "travel" feature

    When we want to use the travel feature within the South Caucasus (Armenia/Georgia) you give some sob story about the feature not working where Being LGBTQ is illegal. Well I got news for you, while our region is not a gay mecca like Barcelona, Being LGBTQ is not only legal in the South Caucasus, gays have it much better than in most of the US (coastal mega cities excluded) and Turkey just across the boarder from us, where Grindr is banned altogether and people have to use VPNs to be able to connect. But the absurdity of your approach is that you have the travel feature turned on in Turkey but not in Armenia!! Just turn it on in our countries, or at least have the decency to tell the truth why it doesn't work!

17. Allow the ability to filter out by gender and racial preference

    As of right now thousands of votes are out there for a filter by gender, but adding gender as a mandatory requirement to have a profile will make it easier to find what someone is looking for. Also, adding a racial filter back like some of the original version's is helpful to find what someone is looking for. Some have fetishes with certain racial types and others just aren't attracted to a certain racial type and when feeds get filled with genders or races or really anything that someone is snot looking for it makes the experience unpleasant, not totally worth it and most likely pushes individuals to other sites that offer such settings.

    It takes way to long to clear bots, spam and other distasteful profiles off when doing it one by one and each time takes 2-4 selections.

19. Filter out OnlyFans and Sugar Daddy bios

    So many bios are clearly indicative of bot accounts, containing essentially the same text. It seems like it would be so easy to vet these accounts. Many of them use the same pictures and create multiple similar profiles. Paying for this product is obnoxious when most of the taps I receive are from scam accounts.

    Hi everyone! I’m honestly at my wit's end with the water quality in North London. We’ve lived here for about a year now, and I’ve already had to replace the heating element in our washing machine, and the kettle looks like a limestone cave after just two weeks of use. I was chatting with my neighbor yesterday, and he joked that we’re basically paying a "hidden tax" just by living in a hard water area. Is he exaggerating, or is this a known thing?
