The adds are out of hand
You people are trying to make the free version of this app so insufferable that you're destroying your product. I'm guessing you're trying to make people shell out money for one of your premium versions. I rarely noticed what these ads are even for because I'm so angry at being shown them. All I've done is open the app. I've not had a chance to so much is interact with it yet, and you're showing me an ad. So now I have to x out of four screens, each screen has to stay up for so long before I can…

Distance
I dont want to see men that are 30 miles away in the nearby blocks. We should show people that are in the area. It seems to be randomized now which makes it difficult for users and honestly feels like im wasting my time.

Asking for Advice About Sexual Assault Lawyers
Hi everyone, I’m trying to help a family member who might need legal support related to a difficult situation involving alleged sexual assault. This is completely new to us, and we honestly don’t know where to begin or what questions to ask when reaching out to a lawyer.
I’d really appreciate any general advice on what to look for when choosing someone experienced in this area, how to prepare for a first consultation, and what kinds of things other people found helpful when they needed representation. Any insight into the decision-making process would be great.1 vote -
integrate an identity verification filter like other applications
integrate an identity verification filter like other applications
As with other dating apps, adding a filter requiring registration with identity verification not only mitigates but also reduces the number of fake profiles we have to access. Without needing a profile picture to maintain security in various countries, it would be essential for profiles registered with identity verification (whether ID, passport, etc.) to be recorded in the system. And if their profiles are banned multiple times for creating fake accounts, they should lose all access to the application.

Correlaion using non numerical values?
hi guys. I have a dataset and I want to find correlations between the columns. some columns are non numerical data though (like countries or gender for example). what do I do in this case? I thought about labeling those with numerical values (just categorize into groups x trench run ), but I am not sure if it is then valid to calculate the correlation from these values. any idea and help is greatly appreciated

Prevent abuse: blocking users after asking for photos
I suggest adding a safety feature:
If someone asks for photos and then immediately blocks or hides the other user, the blocked person should be able to find that profile again or have a way to report it.
Additionally, if a user blocks someone after requesting photos, access to those shared photos should be revoked or restricted to prevent misuse.
This would help prevent photo scams, harassment, and malicious behavior, and better protect user privacy.

Does Gower Distance require transformation of correlated variables?
Hello, I have a question about Gower Distance.
I read a paper that states that Gower Distance assumes complete independence of the variables, and requires transforming continuous data into uncorrelated PCs prior to calculating Gower Distance.
I have not been able to find any confirmation of this claim, is this true, are correlated variables an issue with Gower Distance? And if so, would it be best to transform all continuous variables into PCs, or only those continuous variables that are highly correlated with one another grow a garden? The dataset I am using is all continuous variables, and transforming…
