3. Face verification before uploading to profile

   Living in a country where being gay is a crime, being outed has serious reprocausion and may cause you your life. There are guys on grindr who are able to post face pictures of other people on their profile putting that person's life in danger, some have even taking their own life. I believe introducing a face recognition verification step when attempting to upload face pictures on profiles should be implemented confirming that the photo being uploaded is the user's and eliminate impersonation and catfishing.

4. Please can we block spam messages sent from 6000km away. Why allow an unsolicited message to appear from so far away.

   Have ability to prevent unsolicred messages from over 500km from being recieved apart from people that i had messages from that were originally closer when first messaged

5. Automatic deleting Photo

   Sending a photo that can be modified that would auto delete itself when opened, for example: a photo sent, and when opened by the receiver, the photo would be automatically be deleted after 5 seconds after it was opened, same can be also applied to galleries.

6. Create something to filter out roaming

   We need a filter that keeps us from seeing people who are roaming or do away with that stupid feature all together I'm sick of open someone's profile and they're 500 something miles away. Like wtf I'm gonna do with that make a new Penpal it's so dumb

8. Highly Annoyed with Scamming Predator Profiles

   I am very furiously irritated with Grindr and how the app has diminished significantly when it comes to moderation, security, and quality of management and operation.
   
   I live in the Pacific Northwest and it NEVER fails, when I log into the app, I am almost always contacted in my DMs from a profile that has spoofed their location as being approximately 15 to 35 miles distance away, and the profile ALWAYS shows a picture of an attractive Asian man, many times going by the name "Li", who initiates a chat in understandable but imperfect English, often introducing himself by name in the very first message.
   Then his conversation advances rather rapidly with some very unusual off-the-wall & personal questions, and then he usually tries to move the chat away from the Grindr app and onto WhatsApp after requesting my phone number.
   And then, he tries to convince me that we are "good friends" and continues chatting about other random topics EXCEPT for meeting up in person for a sexual hookup encounter.
   
   When I'm tired of my intentions of hooking up not being fulfilled and I politely try to dismiss this "good friend" without being a xenophobic jerk so that I can try to move on to score a legitimate sexual hookup, "Li" continues to send me messages and ask more questions as if he has absolutely nothing else in the world to do except to attempt to collect as much information possible about me that I am willing to share.
   "Li" then tries to bring up the subject of cryptocurrency investments and how much $$$ that he has accumulated by getting involved with it and how I should consider joining efforts with him to make an easy quick fortune in the business.
   This specific type of bad actor fake profile is a Chinese Personal information collector attempting to operate what is known as a "Pig Butchering Scam", Google that and you'll find out exactly what he's up to.
   
   Once I found out what kind of bullshit he was trying to make a fool out of me with, I straight up told him yes I am an American but just because these idiot voters elected Donald Trump as President, that I AM NOT the gullible target he assumed me to be.
   
   After blocking him, reporting him, and trying to resume achieving my goal of getting laid instead of getting scammed or my time wasted, "Li" or some other similar form of "Li:" attempts to start a conversation in my DMs ALL OVER AGAIN almost immediately and every damn time I log onto this severely compromised app.
   And I know exactly what it is and have come to expect it when I get a notification, before I even open the message or look at the profile. And if I look at the profile and it so happens to depict the image of an Asian or Chinese man, I immediately respond to the chat message he sends with very insulting and offensive traditional Chinese character phrases to let him know that I will NOT be played for a fool, and then he will apparently block me because his profile and DM shortly vanishes afterwards.

   But then, like the damn Hydra monster that regenerates 2 heads in the place of every 1 head that gets decapitated, some form of "Li" comes right back like Jesus Christ on the 3rd day to annoy and harass me again just so I can respond to his messages with obscenities and insults written in his native 1st language.
   I swear I believe these Chinese Information Collectors must get turned on, amused and excited for me to tell them upfront how their mother is a walking Petri dish of a multitude of various sources of different DNA and their father smells like a kangaroo confined in a jail cage and how disgusting and cruel they are for eating dogs and cats in their traditional cuisine.
   
   I normally am very politically correct and try to avoid being ignorant and slinging bad stereotypical comments, but I am damn SICK AND TIRED of these cutthroat international con-artists wasting my time whenever I am on a mission to get some decent local phallic therapy and I am HIGHLY PISSED OFF that you inefficient ineffective moderators and management of Grindr safety and security DON'T seem to be doing a damn thing to STOP this shit. DO BETTER or find some employees who knows what the hell they are supposed to do in order to provide quality service and satisfaction with this shitty app.

16. App does not orientate or not compatible with smart device landscape mode, nor re-orientates when device is upside down.

    As stated on the title, this app is 1 of very very few that I’ve come across which don’t support or are unable to auto orientate/re-orientate to landscape mode (@ least on iPhones & iPads). Also, doesn’t flip 180° when devices are held upside down. PLEASE 4 the love of god catch up w/ the 2020’s & update this!

    While I’m at it, 1 more item which is slightly bothersome, however, I’ll give credit to say it’s improving w/ time —the app seems a bit of a resource hog & loads down your device after having it open for extended periods. It will start acting sluggishly, loading slower, etc.

17. Get rid of all these bots and fake profiles.

    . All I see is transgender profiles that are clearly FAKE and many other fake profiles. I delete them (or hide them since Grindr got rid of block.) and NEW & different yet similar SPAM profiles appear within the same range. This app is honestly becoming unusable and it’s no wonder why it’s dying since every feature exists to leech as much money as they can from its users. Including these fake profiles so that you’re forced to buy premium to use filters so only what you’re looking for shows up.

18. Having Chicago people I'll never see flood my Northwest Indiana listings.

    Actually, my problem is that when I say the mileage for how far that hits Chicago but I don't want Chicago people. Even when I drag the map in Chicago is not in my map. It shows Chicago people. I'd rather see no one online than people I'm never going to meet is too frustrating. It's ridiculous.

    The hide button is replacing the block button, but it is in the way so you can't block because it's not avaliable anywhere most of the time, but the hide option doesn't work or do anything without and upgrade, so it isn't even an available feature but it is completely preventing you from being able to use the already existing and very necessary feature of blocking profiles. This is very bad and needs to be amended immediately!

    You update alot which makes it worse all the pop ups the adds show all the time profiles and messages disappear then show up always says connecting or can't determine my location and now you show people you think are a fit for me what the do you know about me the people you pick are horrible and now they only showing 15 free profiles this app sucks getting worse and the money they want for premium is fucking stupid and it dont work any better than the free version what a joke
