7. Include a view option to exclude people without a photo.

   Grinder should have a view option that allows us to hide people without photos. When I go online sometimes 50% of the profiles I can access don’t have photos which is a red flag for me. Without a photo I’m not interested. We have no idea who these people are and I’m sure if they don’t have a photo they aren’t paying for the app.

Just maybe run a natural language parsing function on the outgoing messages and when you can determine one of them is malicious or defamatory, save yourself the round about data subpoena after all the trauma and life threatening, career ending, relationship murdering bs and inform the account owner who will thank you for being good stewards of your usership and take that disclosure to the local police with the backing of unrefutable data disclosed by means of an air tight privacy protection policy acting in the interests of an already persecuted community and its god damn shareholders in the easiest automated win win even an average dev on your team can cobble together in 20 hours or less.

    The amount of intrusive ads, autoplay videos, and forced subscription pressure has become unacceptable, it’s very abusive.

    This no longer feels like a usable free app, it feels intentionally broken to push people into paying. That’s not ethical design, it’s coercion. It’s obviously being done so people give pay but subscription prices are wildly inflated for what you get and doesn’t even remove all ads.

    If this continues, I will stop using Grindr altogether. Many users already feel the same way.

    Today I started paying for unlimited Grindr and straight away started receiving replies from guys I messaged several months ago who’d never replied at the time, even though I had been a regular paying member. Which I find a bit suspicious.

    I’m contacting you again about an ongoing technical issue that has already happened multiple times.

    When I try to add a new photo to my profile, the app randomly deletes one or more of my existing profile photos without warning. This is NOT the first time this has happened, and I have already contacted support about this issue before.

    This is extremely frustrating and makes it difficult to maintain my profile. I am not manually deleting these photos — the app is doing it on its own.
