2. Discreet icon not implemented completely

   The discreet icon is one good thing that Grindr has over other gay dating apps, but it's missing some aspects. It does show the discreet icon in the app tray, home screen and the notification bar. BUT as soon as you pull down the notifications to expand the list, there it is - the original Grindr icon. It also shows up with the original icon on the lock screen. In order to avoid this, we'll have to silence or stop Grindr notifications, which totally defeats the purpose of the discreet icon. If you already have invested some effort in this, a little more effort to make it completely discreet would actually make it effective.

3. List ethnicity preferences on users profile.

   LISTEN!!! I get the sensitivity of today’s climate and society really I do. But as a black man, IN TEXAS, with literally no racial hangups, it would be a lot easier if this was implemented.

   Hear me out. I have absolutely no preference when it comes to ethnicity. I find attractiveness in all races. Unfortunately for me and many like me that’s not always the case when it comes to us. It would be so much easier to click a profile and see whether or not you meet someone’s preferred ethnicity.

   Kudos to the gents that write it out in their caption. But it’s an unnecessarily rude experience when someone doesn’t and you click their profile and go as far as to tap or message them only to be met with disrespect, anger, and hatred.

   If ethnicitiy preferences were visible in the same sense as position, age, status, and other stats, you could eliminate that. People that aren’t opposed to stepping outside of their own ethnicity won’t shy away from others or be met with rudeness because it will be visible if you meet the criteria or not.

6. Fix Stroll to Beginning When Exiting Profile or Blocking

   With Update 25.3.0 the app began scrolling to the beginning of a search when exiting, blocking a profile, etc.

   It should return to where you left off.

    It’s almost impossible to anticipate whether someone will be a good cultural match when it comes to dating. We can describe ourselves very well sexually and even add pictures to express that side, but there’s hardly any room to show anything beyond sexuality.

    The available tags are extremely limited, with things like romantic, outdoorsy, or likes music, which are way too generic and say very little about someone’s actual personality.

    I’d love to be able to search for users who are into techno, world music, or jazz, for example. I’d also like to see tags for different sports activities, as well as political or cultural interests in general. That would really help match people who share strong cultural overlaps, not just sexual attraction.

    It would strongly support people seeking for a long term partner but also those looking to make new friends and build communities. Grindr could be so much more than just an app for one-night stands.

    For that, we’d need an unlimited number of tags. Displaying too many tags could be counterproductive in terms of profile performance, but they could be shown in an accordion or an expand/collapse field. That way, profiles would stay short and snappy, while still allowing users to explore more details if they want to learn more about someone.

    Ultimately, and beyond helping people find more relevant profiles, this would also generate a huge amount of valuable metadata that could be used to improve the product and develop new services.

15. For You & (New) Explore Section

    Please add an option to turn these off bc when scrolling thru if you accidentally hit one of the profiles your taken to that area and then your basically having to start back at the top once you back out + not sure there's any added benefit and ther old explore area worked fine. What about working on something we don't have....like a map.

16. NO CHASER TAG GRINDR BEING FATPHOBIC

    I have watched tag after tag be created for feet, toes,pee trans, stepstool,,pup,otter, but yet still no one has taken the suggestion of putting CHASER as a tag after being posted on this board for YEARS.What is the fatphobia surrounding this?
