2. Search by free-form text in profile bios(2)

   1) the original idea is closed and locked so that no new comments or votes are allowed. This is because the original idea/suggestion was ERRONEOUSLY MARKED "Feature Exists"
   2) the feature that's been referenced as already existing is the recently-added Tags search filter. While useful, it IS NOT THE SAME THING as was requested in the original idea/suggestion!

   We're actually asking for:
   ...a new, user-definable KEYWORD SEARCH FUNCTION...
   -=-=-=-
   ... which shall be added onto (and implemented into) the "Browse" view of the grindr app.
   To accomplish this, the existing "Tags Filter" tool needs to change the current icon (a magnifying glass/"search" icon). It can then be replaced by the more standard/traditional "Filter" icon. Note: the functionality of the Tags Filter remains unchanged, otherwise.

   Then, a NEW textual/user input field (with an appropriately accompanying "Search" button [magnifying glass icon]) shall be implemented next to the Tags Filter. This will allow the user to input (a) search term(s) into the field; and then, a new KEYWORD SEARCH FUNCTION, using any/all supplied terms, will execute (upon the user tapping on the search icon).

   The function shall primarily consist of a loop. STEP 1 of the loop shall load user profile 'X' into memory.

   **** The function will then need to convert any/all variables (regardless of the actual datatype) that comprise a profile, to plain text (or, of the STRING data type, for example). ****

   The next STEP of code shall perform a word/term search, for any & all supplied keywords/terms -- and IF there's a match ANYWHERE within the profile, the STEP shall then return [in the form of a URL (or hyperlink)] the current profile loaded into memory. The function shall LOOP with a single LOOP execution per each profile. This LOOP shall run until the search has been completed on all profiles.
   The only results listed by the function shall be the profiles with matching words/terms (or, a partial match to a term contained within larger blocks of text) given by the user.

3. Choose chat back up time.

   Would be nice for users to be able to choose the chat back up time. I work nights and my phone is hardly connected wifi or plugged in, as to meet the requirements for it to back up. Therefore it never gets backed up.

4. More then one option (with Position, sexually and location)

   It would be very nice when I can choose more then one option with Position.
   Sometimes I'm top, but also sometimes side.
   Also more options like JO (jack-off) Giving, getting or both ways.
   Giving BJ (blow-job), getting BJ or BJ (both ways) would be nice.
   Further I miss more options with location for meeting: Outside, public place, shopping mall.

11. Get rid of the "say something" window

    Please PLEASE get rid of the "say something" window. It's pushy, really annoying and utterly pointless.

    Removing the keyboard and "say something" bubble every single time I view a profile is beyond tedious. Did anyone actually check/yest this before rolling it out?

14. UI Degradation

    Please stop changing the UI to be so similar to other (mostly failed) dating apps. Today's UI change makes Grindr look and feel a bit more generic.

    Should be aloud to message and talk to more profile in my town only getting to talk to profile 2miles away is stupid as hell like make it to where if there in the same town then you can chat with them no cut it of a 2miles away that stupid if this don't change I'm deleting Grindr for good cause it's bullshit

16. Pricing is not clear

    The pricing on Unlimited and Extra is not clear. I used Unlimited for a number of months. I constantly see Boost ads. This leaves me feeling like the available profiles are throttled even at $40/month. That would be outrageous. This month I chose Extra instead. On my iPhone I'm met with a dozen different price levels. Many of them are repeats. None of them tell me clearly what I'm getting for $20/month. It's totally opaque. If I choose $20/month I would like to know up front, you will be limited to 50 people per day (if that is indeed the case). If I choose $40/month then it should be clear that I will get unlimited profiles and whatever added features.

19. Add ability to allow or force approximate distance versus exact distance

    Some individuals need to maintain anonymity which is understandable but for safety reasons I would like to see a general or approximate distance in increments of maybe 10 miles. Example : "Over 20 miles away" especially when or after a message is sent and are chatting. Reasons are for safety. I was contacted by an individual who had their distance turned off. I could not see them in my nearby grid and as a free subcriber, was unable to locate them in the grid. When in a high population city, i might only be able to see profiles very close. This profile ended up getting enough information to be able to blackmail, out and dox me because I trusted they were close by. Not that people within 10 miles cant be scammers but if I had known this user was thousands of miles away I would have not have had any conversation and protected myself.

20. Very few users found after last update

    Dating apps are the only place where people can be themselves and talk. But with the recent updates, Grindr shows only very few users than days ago. Feeling humiliated. please make it work as it was before
