The app needs a "Hide Me From" feature
The issue with having every-one available to every-one is the inability to hide yourself from people / tribes you're not interested in. A feature to hide you from the grids of certain people will help with that.
So, if I wanted to be hidden from age ranges etc. I know that I can filter my own grid to tailor my results, but it doesn't stop them contacting you. Annoying when you have nothing but 60 year olds shooting their shot constantly

The prices you greedy bastards charge for what you get should be criminal. You must employ the most incompetent developers because this app keeps getting worse and not better. You have totally give the nasty hookers a platform to constantly ask if “You GEN?” And they never seem to get banned. Shouldn’t be hard to police specific words in user chats… or will that cause an increase in the price? Grindr into Garbage

Public group chat option
Group chat creator should also have an option to make group chats public or at least be asked to join, so it's easier to invite other like-minded users to join their circle, so they won't go in another platform, etc.
Passively, users should also have an option to be "invited" to join a group chat

Does not work in the subway (won’t refresh)
Not sure why, but it won’t refresh in the NYC subway- even if I have full bars, and whether or not I’m connected to transit WiFi. Anyone else experiencing this or know why?

Remplacer le terme « efféminé » par « féminin » dans les tags
Le terme efféminé est couramment utilisé pour décrire des personnes de la communautés ayant une expression de genre empruntant aux codes féminin.
Problème : ce terme a une connotation historiquement homophobe et misogyne. Loin d’être neutre ou de valoriser, il déprécie les hommes, censés être ‘virils’, qui reprennent des codes féminins, considérés comme moins nobles, plus faibles.
L’exemple le plus parlant c’est l’absence de terme réciproque. Pour parler d’une femme qui emprunte des codes masculins, on dira couramment qu’elle est « masculine ».
Le terme « féminin » pourrait donc simplement et utilement se substituer au terme « efféminé » que l’on utilise aujourd’hui

Gender filter not working for Men.
Gender filter does not work as it should. When I search Man it shows me Trans men.
Grindr support is unhelpful and says 'Trans Men are Men'
If you filter 'Trans Men' only Trans Men show up. Why are Trans people given more privilege to filter people?
I am only attracted to biological men.

Know your audience
We all know why those of us who use Grindr get online (primarily)... This is an app geared towards gay men, as a gay man feeling aroused and in a moment of thinking about other men, ads about meeting women is a great way to ruin that mood as it has several times. Can we agree to at least partner with company's that their ads might actually be looked at maybe.
