2. Gender selection

   The app keeps deleting my selection of "woman" when I enter my gender. This is a transphobic disgrace.
   My gender is WOMAN, and I simply happen to be trans. Your app is effectively oppressing me.

7. So manipulative and confusion

   There is a lot happening in my life with triggers, and some guys are fake, catfish, and take advantage of deaf people. They don't realize what others can do behind their back. Everyone makes mistakes, so why not stop mocking and making them, especially when it comes to alcohol and drug addiction? Deaf people struggle with mental health, and it's not right for random guys to use drugs with them without their knowledge and then use their personal information and pictures. This needs to be prevented.

8. Mandatory 2-Factor Authentication

   Yes, everyone should be using unique passwords. Yes, people should not share information that they would not want unintended viewers to see. Yes, if people have a problem with its security practices they can move to other apps. Do these (false) assumptions of the userbase mean the implementation of proper safeguarding practices should be ignored? Absolutely not.

   Grindr serves an incredibly vulnerable population. Since it is by the most popular platform for this population, it is its responsibility to do what is most ethically and morally responsible, even if it makes people slightly awkward when logging in.

   Our personal information is only as secure as the peoples' accounts that we share that information with. I can setup complicated passwords for this one app, but if an account that I have interacted with becomes compromised because they did not take the same steps as I did, then everything I shared is also compromised.

   We can't make the assumption that even a majority of users make their Grindr password unique. Thus, it ought to be mandatory for Grindr users to participate in 2-Factor Authentication. This will not completely solve the problem of data security and digital safety, and it also would not be a popular change, but it would be a major step in protecting the safety and security of its userbase.

    I pay already, so I expect ZERO ADS, including ads from Grindr. Boost is a really bad idea which facilities the notion that "it's ok for users to cheat/jump to the front of the queue if Grindr can make money." Obviously based on the ever increasing volume of banner and popup ads, boost is not a financially successful idea, so Grindr is doubling down on the bad idea by advertising constantly to paid users rather than abandoning the bad idea. HONEST PEOPLE DO NOT LIKE CHEATERS. Grindr users (originating mainly from the N & S America, W & E Europe, and Australasia) might occasionally find using a ruler challenging, but are generally an honest lot who will find Boost at best distasteful and disrespectful and evaluate the incessant advertising similarly. Boost represents the failure of the operators and developers to grasp a fundamental cultural reality that might be somewhat different from their own experiences.

20. From the messages screen

    I used to be able to tap on a profile picture on the messages screen it would open the person’s profile. It doesn’t do that anymore. Also when scrolling messages, tapping the messages button on the bottom of the screen would take me to the top of the list again. It doesn’t do that anymore. We used to be able to search messages and we can’t do that anymore. I pay for unlimited, I should not have to deal with these annoyances especially if they were functions that were there prior and removed without notice. Y’all are charging a hefty price for this shit and I am a long time subscriber so my opinion here should weigh something.
