1. Remove IG and OF "Ads"

   I spend most of my time Hiding tons of these profiles, many of them which just come back and Tap me. It's crazy how much space they occupy. I guess they're "paying" customers but it's so freaking annoying. It makes me want to leave the platform.

3. Picture verification

   While most of the profiles dont use their face as a profile picture
   However
   Would appreciate a verification status of each face picture sent in the chat
   This will help avoid many spammers/scammers/ in some countries the authorities
   As well as avoid multiple account creators

4. Quickly report & block spam

   This is similar to another submission, but goes a bit further, so I thought I should add it.
   It takes 7 clicks to report and block a spam profile. Some steps are slow.
   Sometimes it is necessary to report a number of identical or very similar spam profiles to make the Grindr grid even usable again!
   The normal Grindr Hiding doesn't seem to work for travelling, roaming or boosted profiles. It only works for profiles that are indeed actually nearby. Spam profiles are not actually nearby, just appear so, so therefore normal Hiding doesn't work. The only option that works is to report spam and hide - and that is very painful to do multiple times.
   Also, whenever you report a profile, afterwards the grid always resets back to the top, so to report the next spam, you have to scroll back down to wherever you were before.
   We really need a fast ReportSpam&Hide method - eg. you highlight all spam profiles (just like long-press delete mode in messages screen) and the one click just reports & hides them all.

   Related:
   When a user reports multiple spam profiles, it seems unfair the ad down count down timer still runs - so you may have to sit through multiple ads, some deliberately very painful to exit, as you report spam profiles for Grindr's benefit.
   Please hold or backup the ad timer when users are reporting.

5. Interesting online games for the evening

   Me and my crew were scoffing kebabs at a night market, yarning about big wins. Decided to check out an online casino for giggles. Got onto Spinago Casino from Australia, and its cool look with heaps of slots and roulette is tops. Mobile-friendly too. Honestly, it was like a tasty wrap, made our night proper lively and buzzing.

7. Remove social media links

   Over half the grid is spam bots promoting social media. If you remove the links it will at least cut that back some.

   You all are doing a crap job of Grindr!

   Mostly spam, screws up my profile pics randomly, the costs have skyrocketed!

   Why should I keep paying for a “service” where the product gets worse and worse and the price still keeps climbing?

8. Fix your problems before changing the things that work and adding more paid features.

   If you're going to spam adds so much atleast bring back the multi tiered paid options. Almost 40 bucks a month for features we dont need just to get rid of ad is absurd.

9. Feature: Prevent messages from too far away

   A good paid feature would be to prevent people messaging you if they are too far away. Anything over 25km away is generally a bit pointless. Often a waste of time asking each other how you are for a few days.

10. Disable albums on Grindr Web - Screenshots

    People often use albums to prevent their private photos and videos from being screenshotted/saved. You can get around this quickly by logging into Grindr on the web and using a computer's tools to save them.

    Albums shouldn't be viewable on the web, or, the album owner should be able to opt-out of their albums being available on the web-version.

12. Parameter to mask/block automatically fake girls and trans

    I have 0 interest in trans, girls, fake girls, etc. Please add a parameter so I can block those and revert to a true male-male hookup apps or please create a spin off for other interests than male-male. It’s becoming nightmarish in here; regular gays are being discriminated and most trans look like very cheap and gross prostitutes. By the way, am I soon to get Tampax adds here? I’m getting so many ads for woman stuff (most of the time now)!!!

    Experimenting the politics of grindr about list of blocked profiles. After I am blocking a certain amount of profiles , after few weeks reappear in my grid. There is a maximum of profile we can block? I am paying a service that is not contributing to my security. Does anyone else experimenting that?

    This is both a dating and hookup app. Sometimes I meet someone IRL and want keep seeing them, but it does not mean I immediately want to enter a monogomous relationship with them. I would like the option to hide my activity, online statis etc. from people I know without completely blocking them. Its awkward when you activate Right Now mode, and you get a message from someone youve been on two dates with, "oh wow, you could have just texted me". I tried to avoid an awkward situation with a guy I was seeing by blocking him on the app, but he noticed and took it the wrong way, he is very upset with me. There needs to be a way to practice discretion and not be flagrant when im using the same space for dating and hookups.

15. Remove restriction on number of profiles that we can messagr to using the explore feature on Xtra subscription

    Xtra subscription now only allows 5 taps/chats while exploring which I'd ridiculous. I paid that extra amount specifically for the explore feature and now it's basically moved into the unlimited subscription

    PLEASE add a distance filter, roaming doesn't work, Im sorry but someone 325 miles away from me should not be considered "near" me, a distance filter would solve this, I only see people in different states most of the time.

    So each time I get a message or notification and as I go to open the message to see the pics sent or reply, opening the app triggers advertising that renders the app useless until I go and close out the app and restart.

    When these ads pop up I find it's always at the halfway mark of my typing a reply that now there's an advertisement taking the whole screen and I can't find it's 'x'. I don't know about anyone else, but I have a pixel 8 pro and I can never get the tiny stupid x crammed in the utmost unreachable corner of my screen. So there I go as fast as I can to exit the app to home screen, open all the apps running, and slide it off the screen like a pain in the ass. Then my message I was replying with and whatever I wanted to say is gone, not in the text field anymore and after selecting the message thread it almost always prompts a new advertisement to pop up. F$+&!!!
    .... That said I already am on free version(embarrassing, I know), and I can't ever reply to the new pics some stud a few hundred feet away has sent and his profile is traveling so it's priority right? I just give up and shut the app. Why? His messages lead up to me needing to be a good submissive little slut that will make sure I sub his only fans to keep messaging on that platform after screenshot is sent that I subbed. Before meeting only. I never would but his self soon is 4139 miles away a few minutes later. Ugh. This happens well 7 out of 10 times when opening the app. Why not try making right now a feature that you unlock by using an advertisement you watch, and then and only there will an advertisement with an easy exit button available in the middle center screen he played. Aren't adds not really necessary at this point if we can't use the app anyway? Even if I was a curious bill gates and could afford the unlimited, I'd still be not using grindr. Free is fucking better always and it's more likely my chrome browser gets me paid on a sniffley cough cough haha get it I'm a little sick of these limits I don't want to exist. 18. Stop bogus users directing us to other URLs I g get as many scammer text on here as I do genuine texts.

    When something is so obvious that they are a scammer or directing us to other sites. Grindr needs to be far more efficient at removing these accounts.

    It takes way too long for moderation to kick in. With agentic AI and generative AI you should be able to do this pretty quick.

    For the sake of us in the non-white community. Please bring back allowing to filter out yt ppl from our grid black people and Asians often feel excluded by the amount of yt people on the app make it easier to connect with people who share your experiences and culture
