4. App blocks or hides wrong profile

   I noticed recently the app will block/hide wrong profiles. Sometimes, I still see the profile I hide right after. When this happens, I go to my block/hide list. Then 100% times that the app hides the wrong profile. If I have talked to that person, then the profile will be blocked wrongly.

    I’d like to propose a privacy feature that allows users to set a Hard Visibility Radius.
    The Problem:
    Currently, even if we are in a specific location, our profiles can often be seen by users from other cities or distant areas who are using "Explore" features or have long-range search capabilities. This can be a privacy concern when you want to be visible only to the immediate community around you.
    The Proposal:
    A feature where a user can toggle a "Local Visibility Only" mode. You would define a specific radius (e.g., 2km, 5km, or 10km).
    How it works: If someone is outside of that chosen radius, your profile simply will not appear in their grid or search results, regardless of their subscription level or filters.
    The benefit: If I am traveling or working in a different city (e.g., in Campinas) and I only want to interact with people in that specific area, I can ensure that people from my hometown (e.g., São Paulo) cannot see my profile while I'm there.
    Why this matters:

    Feature request: Replace “hide distance” with distance buckets.

    Full hiding attracts scammers (often overseas) and wastes time. Show ranges instead:
    <25 mi (local),
    <250 mi (regional),
    <2500 mi (same country),
    or farther.

    Keeps privacy while indicating real proximity.

    The block option is no longer available and was replaced by the hide option. Blocking a user is an essential safety tool in Grindr that can protect us from violence and harassment. Disabling it put in risk the safety and privacy of Grindr users.

14. Stop allowing trans & trans seekers to take over gay spaces

    Enough is enough already. Make a new app for them and migrate them over. This is not a place "for everybody", this is a gay space and it's annoying with all the limitations you bestowed upon us, it's vital for our grid not to be polluted. Same goes for other filters.     When in my profile, I have an option to select my City, which happens to be San Antonio. I selected use a button to confirm and it takes me and fits me in Austin. I think that needs to be addressed because I’m not in Austin. I want to San Antonio. I don’t wanna drive 74 miles and 5 miles to meet somebody.
