Age Verification and Display
There is too many people living about age and this can be young kids or older etc and I feel for this app to be safer, age MUST be displayed on ALL profiles and also show if verified and have age verification forced. This would make the app safer, less underage, safer app

Problems with profiles grid
The experience with this app is getting awful. When you access to this app, the profiles nearby are not updated. If you try to refresh, you have to wait until an error message appears. It's almost impossible to chat with new people.
With the last updates the app is even worse: we have a new useless preferred list, we have an hide profiles option (instead of block).
Please, just focus on a good working profiles grid and chat!

Filter search for ethnicity/race & cut-or-uncut
We need to be able to filter-search on 3 things new things: race, ethnicity, and whether cut or uncut. Frankly, I'm utterly appalled --- and, frankly, as a paying customer, utterly RIPPED-OFF --- that we don't already have all 3 of these capabilities built-in, even at the free level.🤦

New feature pop up.
We are living in 2025 in a technology filled world. We don’t need a pop up to still be popping up months after the money grab to risk the safety by taking the block button away.

La possibilité d’utiliser les notes et de POUVOIR RECHERCHER dans ces notes dans l’onglet favoris était beaucoup trop utile !
Pourquoi payer si on nous enlève cette fonctionnalité.
À la limite, pas grave de pas avoir l’onglet favoris en entier, mais au moins d’avoir la possibilité de chercher dans ses notes.
Moi ça me soule j’étais super organisé dans les notes (Lieux / pratiques / position) et je n’avais qu’à faire une recherche pour trouver un profil adéquat. Svp….1 vote -

Restict ad times
Ads can be terribly long. I have times a couple of ads at almost 120 seconds. That is insane. All it makes me do is hate the advertiser.

Ad free tier
I would be more than willing to pay $5 monthly ($5/wk maximum) for a simple ad-free tier. Zero of the other premium features are appealing or make up the outlandish expense of the XTRA or Unlimited features. The ads otherwise make grindr almost completely nonfunctional.

Bring back search bar in chat/inbox
Previously there was a search bar in the chat/inbox area where we could type something we mentioned in a convo and it brought up all the topics and which profiles it was discussed with. Please can we have that feature back?

Predicting Seriousness to Meet [AI feature request]
It would be great if Grindr’s team used AI to help match people based on what time of day they’re usually “looking.” Many people tend to want sex at a certain time of day, and the app could implement a feature that analyzes whether your habits match those of someone you’re talking to. Moreover, this may be relatively straightforward to implement (I hope). By looking at when users take the initiative of sending most of their messages (e.g. “hey,” “u looking,” etc.), Grindr could look at trends and estimate a certain user is usually serious around, say, 8 pm to…

Reporting Users Who Blocked You First
Apparently this feature is only available in select locations. I’ve just been harassed, but because they blocked me first, there’s nothing I can do. Please make this feature available everywhere so victims are not left feeling helpless. If you’re reading this & agree, I encourage you to vote for my appeal so Grindr can make this feature universal. Stay safe everyone

don’t advertise on unlimited subscriptions
If I’m paying for unlimited I shouldn’t have advertising in my messages. 90% of my reasons that I pay for unlimited is to get rid of your insane ads. Intrusive or not, don’t advertise your unlimited subscriptions as ad free if there is going to be permanent advertisement bar at the top of the messages. This company is rapidly becoming part of the problem in this world

Blocked Users
Stop allowing blocked users to still have access to our profile. That’s completely stupid. That’s why they block so they can’t see us. A boy I blocked yesterday and on the blocklist STILL messaged me. That makes Grindr a dangerous creepy app.
