   I am using your app on iPhone with iOS. I have enabled “Larger Text” in Accessibility settings, but the app does not adjust its font size accordingly.

   Could you please add support for iOS Dynamic Type so that the text size can automatically adapt to user settings? This would greatly improve readability and accessibility for many users.

2. WE NEED CUSTOM TAGS PERIODT.

   In order to be more efficient(cut out the middleman of Grindr)and also more personalized, instead of having a tag suggestion box we should be able to directly type custom tags from that box and have it automatically added to our profile. This would help having to wait and wait for disappointment for your specific kink/identity/hobby/interest to be displayed without having to wait on popular vote or however lazy Grindr admins are. If you are thinking that some people would abuse this system for safety, homophobia, transphobia, or for bullying, Grindr could use their new updates to monitor unsafe/scam behavior and also have specific words or phrases that would fall under these types of hate categories fully censored. There could also be nuance to this so even there could be a team in Grindr like Youtube review just kinkier and less DMCA strikes.

6. Stop Breaking the App

   I can't add new profile photos. They just disappear when I add them. The new app icons don't show when you get a notification, it still shows the Grindr logo. I can't edit or delete my trips on my profile.

7. Filter OUT Tags

   When setting a filter, I should be able to select tags that I do not want to include, filter them OUT. For instance, there are a large number of Trans and CD people on this site now. I have no problem with them, I'm just not interested in them. I would like to filter those out.

9. Suggestion for Improving the “Explore” Feature on Grindr

   Hello, I’d like to point out an issue I noticed with the “Explore” feature that can significantly impact the user experience.

   When we select a location on the map to explore profiles in that area, the expected behavior is that profiles will be displayed based on their distance from the selected location, within a certain radius — as shown in the attached image.

   However, according to the information provided by support, the app now shows a curated selection of profiles when using Explore, aiming to highlight the “best” matches and potential connections. The exact criteria used for this selection aren’t clear, but this approach can result in profiles being displayed that are not necessarily near the selected location, which can be misleading.

   Practical example:
   Let’s say I plan to go to a bar, and I use Explore to check for nearby profiles. I select the bar’s location, see several profiles within 500 meters, and decide to go. Once I get there, I realize those profiles are actually 1 to 2 kilometers away — in completely different directions. This defeats the purpose of exploring by location.

   There’s another important side effect: in the community, top profiles are relatively rare. Bottoms tend to seek out tops exclusively, while versatile users usually prefer either other versatiles or tops. As a result, both bottoms and versatiles are drawn to tops, but not to each other. This leads to tops getting significantly more attention, which may cause them to appear more prominently — while bottom and versatile profiles that may be closer and more compatible remain buried in the list.

   So when a top uses Explore, they may end up mostly seeing other tops that were algorithmically highlighted, while potentially compatible nearby profiles are missed.

   Suggestion: the profile ordering should strictly follow distance from the selected location. If additional filtering or curation is used, it would be best to offer it as an optional feature, rather than the default.

10. More words in profile section

    Can Grindr allow its users to use at least 30-40 more words in there main profile please. 255 characters does not cut it especially if you are using this site in a attempt to find both relationships and hookups in my case RN more relationships. Only being allowed 255 letters not even words in my profile is beyond annoying.

12. Remove the right now from hovering over my screen, it’s so annoying

    Remove the right now widget from the main screen position, people including myself, accidentally press it then get bombarded by unwanted attention, it’s actually convincing me as well as some of my friends to leave Grindr if anything

    I as other complainants on here , am annoyed by the always misplaced advertising , sometimes in the middle of typing a response to someone which is extra annoying .
    What else bothers me is that the ads seem to be targeting hetero interest groups ( eg I get job at BHP MINING - and ladies fashion or stupid hetero social apps )
    
    I would welcome that Grindr looks at other gay social apps ( romeo hornet jack’d scruff squirt etc ) how they handle their advertising , subtle , and I am sure they make enough profit from their chosen companies .
    So PLEASE change the way you place your advertising, less intrusive

14. Toggle for Camera Mirroring

    Love the new “Taken on Grindr” tagged photos for authenticity, only one problem… I am NOT taking “mirrored” photos EVER!!! And I know most of us hate seeing our mirrored/flipped alter ego lol. Please give us a toggle for the camera mirroring to be On or Off. Android users may escape this problem as most apps screen grab from the camera app instead of ~using~ the camera.

    I pay Xtra. To NOT have ads. Yet, I get the "Who's the asshole" ad on my messages tab every time I open the app (and every time I open the app I deleted): I don't wanna point out who is the asshole, but is very clear to me.

18. The "For you"

    I agree with the ability to turn off the "for you". It seems to be an extremely flawed algorithm as I would never even view the profiles of 90% of the guys that Grindr is recommending. And having to pay to use something I am forced to scroll past is about as exciting as the ads that just don't go away. Instead of concentrating so much on shit to charge for maybe concentrate on making things better.
